Hate it or love it, Chingy is back with Disturbing The Peace and on December 18th the St. Louis rapper will release his fourth studio album (the second on DTP). After two straight flops as an employee of Capitol Records, Chingy is hoping the marketing and promotions professionals at Def Jam can assist him more than their rival counterparts. Following the radio-friendly Amerie duet, Fly Like Me, comes the street-level joint Check My Swag. Over creepy production from newcomer Trillion Billion, full of church bells and synthesized percussion, Chingy repetitively asks for the listener to check his swag. To be fair to Chingy, and to properly address his request, wait until after the holiday sales rush to evaluate his swagger. Our guess? You’ll still be checking.
