Chester French - She Loves Everybody (Remix) ft. Shawn Chrystopher
Artist: Chester French
Featuring: Shawn Chrystopher
Producer: D.A. Wallach and Max Drummey
Album: Unofficial Remix
Label: Chester French Recording/Karmaloop Music
With the help of danceable lead single She Loves Everybody, Cambridge, MA pop duo Chester French have been building buzz for their forthcoming debut album, Love the Future (set to drop in February ‘09 off Star Trak/Interscope). After reading the group’s encouraging words to would-be remixers on their blog, Inglewood emcee Shawn Chrystopher jumped at the chance to add his own brand of freshness to the track. On this unofficial remix, D.A. Wallach and Matt Drummey‘s original instrumentation is retained, though the emcee bumps up the bass and adds a little extra synth ornamentation. Chrystopher’s two verses bookend the song, and his expressive flow proves a perfect match to its pensive groove. If Shawn Chystopher’s version inspires you to create your own remix, Chester French says “Go for it;” the duo might even feature your creation on their MySpace blog.

Ha! I love this sh*t! White people stand up LOL! Man, gotta say though, these dudes sound black. These lyrics are hilarious!!! Everybody pay close attention to them. I like the style on here, sounds verrrry heavily influenced by Lupe and Cool Kids (I seem to be comparing a lot of people to CK lately...)
Overall, these guys can spit, people gotta admit, and that chorus/singing is a good switch up. Gotta give this one a 3, very close to a 4. Originality. |

Great track. I saw Chester French on tour with Common and N*E*R*D a few months ago and they tore shit up. Definitely on my radar.

Chester French should be on everyone's radar in 2009 - but lets focus on the man of the hour... well, remix.
Shawn Chrystopher managed to take a song that isn't very "hip hop" and make it seem as though he was meant to be on it from jumpstreet. Job well done, my friend. Shouts to Evan! |

I don't know how to label this but my ears don't care, they just welcomed the eclectic vibe! Call me crazy, but there's a Beatles feel about the way they approached the melody and singing.
I love the sound effects on the chorus! Rapping was so on point, playing the words with a great flow! PS: Yo Z… I see you slowly turning this site into not just the best hip hop site but the best MUSIC site in the world. I mean… this was so little rap! ;) But that’s fine with me! I fell encouraged to make you an alternative suggestion I feared had no place in the booth… |

This is good stuff right here. It's different and I think it has the ability to appeal to a range of people.
I love hearing good music, whether its hip-hop, r&b or something else and this is just that. |

I love hearing good music. Not just hip-hop or r&b, but good music. This is that. I think this has the ability to appeal to a range of people, which is really good for newer artists.

I was digging the production right off the bat. Though I felt it would been a little bit hotter if the bass and kick hit a little bit harder. But Shawn Chystopher snapped and the song is just dope.
FredRico-you know what it is? It's that special trait some people (me and you included) have about ourselves that don't have us easily closed minded to new and eclectic ish. Those type of people (us) tend to experience a lot more cool stuff in the world and have a much more enjoyable life. (LOL...I did just get my philosophy swagger on, didn't I? LOL). But I agree about the Beatles comparison. I love that. No wonder Chester was on tour with N.E.R.D. It's all about doing cool, new stuff. Anybody else still stuck on cliché stuff is just going to miss out. This is definitely something I would listen to again and I will look out for more Chester really soon here. I don’t think Shawn really needed to spit another verse at the end, because it was really mediocre. Other than that, this is a really hot joint. This is one of the types of music I would like to make myself…it just seems ignorant people can’t seem to want to expand their horizons to anything new. Well…get ready, cuz we taking over whether you like it or not! |

Damn this is nice. I can honestly see this getting alot of play at parties and such. Production was great, and everything else(singing and rapping) was on point. I got to say this is definetly a banger.

lol @ MH, that was a bit conceited, but man, that’s true about “experience a lot more cool stuff in the world and have a much more enjoyable life”. That’s exactly what I tell my friends that only listen to one music genre.
Lol @ WOW:) running this rating game! I mean, she managed to make her rating mean more than all our 4 stars combined: she’s responsible for half the rating (missing) all by herself! Booya! lol |
