Che’Nelle channels a little emo angst on her latest single and second Booth feature, but that shouldn’t scare you away; Razor‘s “you cut me so deep” chorus is purely metaphorical, and the record itself is the kind of danceable club pop fans have come to expect from the Malaysian/Australian singer/songwriter. With R&B heartthrob Colby O’Donis providing a upbeat, synth-laced accompaniment, Che’nelle vents her emotions to a man who broke her heart beyond repair. After she’s had her say, O’Donis steps in to give the male perspective, expressing his own heartbreak in an impressive speed-soul verse that carries the cut (no pun intended) to its climatic breakdown. A perfect anthem for those seeking to dance their romantic woes away, Razor (Cut Me So Deep) will appear on Che’nelle’s currently-untitled sophomore album, which has yet to receive a release date from her label home, SCIP/Capitol.

Whew! First of all, let me say mami is fly in her little ensemble in that picture. I think her sex appeal with sell her, because this song didn't show that she really has some kind of outstanding singing ability. She was not bad, but it's not something that will be memorable, ya know? The engineering mix was low quality too. They could have mixed her vocals louder and more crisp/sharp. Colby O'Donis is okay, but he still hasn't won me over as an artist yet.

Wow..Colby O' Donis makes nothing but hits right now! Dope production and Che'Nelle was better than I expected. The hook is creative and orginal and the song flow smoothly. Well done!

She definitely looks good; this song definitely doesn't sound good. The beat is really upbeat, catchy, and mainstream, but happens to be the kind that I don't like. Her vocals were OK, but the verses were nothing special and the hook was not very interesting.

Che'Nelle has an okay pop voice and plenty of sex appeal. What does that mean? She is probably destined for stardom (see Lady Gaga).
But hold the phone... COLBY smashed this production. The man has really come along nicely as both a singer and a producer of the last year. Nice work, fam.

I gotta agree with michael... the only thing that'll sell is her sexy-ness. i didn't 'feel' nelle. but donis had the flow trippled to almost fyah. without him this woulda been a flop.

The vocals may not be impressive, but I definitely could see being drunk in the club and feelin this song...definitely the kind of song (for a female) that you can blast in the whip and feel yourself to. Ha...Colby brought it!
