Che Grand - Too Much Too Soon ft. Colin Munroe
Artist: Che Grand
Featuring: Colin Munroe
Producer: Colin Munroe
Album: Everything's Good Ugly
Label: Unsigned
Featured last week, Love Hate found Booth newcomer Novakane lamenting the fact that, though his longtime girlfriend-turned-ex was making his life a living hell, he simply couldn’t get over her. The Chi-town up-and-comer could afford to take a few lessons from Che Grand; on his latest single, the NYC native teams up with Unsung Hero Colin Munroe to cut potential romantic woes off at the pass, telling an overeager shorty the relationship is simply, “Too Much Too Soon.” When the emcee starts receiving faxed death threats from the woman spurned, it’s pretty clear he made the correct decision. Munroe’s own production, propelled by ‘70s-pop piano chords, gives the record a infectiously breezy vibe as Che ponders the eternal question of where to draw the line. Too Much Too Soon is set to appear on the spring ‘09 release of Grand’s debut studio album, Everything’s Good Ugly.

Both Che and Colin are apart of a brand new group of artists that I am truly excited about for the future.
Great production from Munroe, he has a great future behind the board (in addition to on the mic). |

It's Colin Munroe! Hip Hop is lucky to have this talented kid on the game! Great vocals, nice production (love the guitar and the break).
Che Grand was cool, you can tell he’s not a dumb-it-down rapper just by the way he flows. Seems like one of those who try to make music blending with it and not just lay some lines randomly on a beat. |

Wow I could see Maroon 5 on a remix that shi% would be hot. Feeling the piano action that is going on. Colin bringing a different feel to hip hop and I think it will catch on.
