Che Grand - Chateau Gold
Artist: Che Grand
Producer: Brian Brizzo
Album: Everything's Good Ugly
Label: Unsigned
Listeners who get a chance to sample Uche Anosike’s Chateau Gold will notice how adept the emcee is at flipping his interestingly schizoid rhyme patterns into wry witticisms. Otherwise known as Che Grand, the international transplant utilizes his cultured ear over Brian Brizzo’s dope beat. Serenading his nerdy ladies, Grand proves that beauty is only skin deep on this poetic cut off his December album, Everything’s Good Ugly. Prettier than Flavor Flav on the mic, Che Grand’s hustle has brought him from sea to shining sea, but his determination, focus, and New York grind should be taken as proof positive that Mr. Anosike has more than just gold on his mind.

I love the production but at times his lyrics dont match the beat. This is still pretty hot!

The soulful intro was so ill! Straight up chill music! Che's flow was real straight. I guess I'll have to hear from him to really make a judgment on if I think he's good or someone I'd listen to on the regular. They should turn down his vocals though. THEY ARE WAY TOO LOUD over the beat! I'll throw this in rotation.

Ha that's a funny pic! Agree with E-dub and MH with everything, from production and intro. (Damn that intro is nice!) The rest of it is pretty good, but that flow is a little off. The vocals are too loud and it sounds like he did this in 1 take and called it a wrap!
PS- Let's get some more ratings on these "less-popular" artists. Give em a chance! |

feelin the intro but it was way too long, agree wit mh and cb the vocals are too loud, like he did this track and studio time was up and had to bounce, but this track is way smooth never heard of him, gonna check for more of his songs

That intro was Stevie Wonderful. I liked that off top. I like this.I think his vocal was alil too loud here, but other than that you can just let this ride. I would love to hear Mickey Facts work this one out.

I'm away on business (in NY - what up?) and don't have time for thoughtful and insightful comments. Which means...
today is one word comment day! *Soulful* (thanks, MH) |
