Signed to Busta Rhymes‘s Flipmode Entertainment, R&B artist Chauncey Black (formerly of Blackstreet) has a plan in place for his woman. Treating her like Everyday Is Your Birthday, Chauncey takes her to the the mall, the salon, and the dealership to buy whatever she wants (all on his dime). If you aren’t able to guess by his falsetto vocals and the Teddy Riley instrumental, though, his true intentions become apparent when they head back to his house and do just ”what we like to do.” Although Everyday Is Your Birthday is one of the Booth’s shortest songs (clocking in at less than 3 minutes), it is just enough time to get his female audience “in the mood.”
This track has a decent beat to it. Chauncey can sing a lil somethin-somethin; but it doesn't sound like anything standout to me. I'm not really feeling the song too much so I won't throw it into my rotation; but its OK...
Has a more old school kelz feel to him, but that's a bit over done and he's not really presenting anything that'll make me remember his name/track. Sounds pretty good and I always appreciate rnb tracks like this, but i'm assuredly underwhelmed.
I think this is cool! I know what the problem is, its outdated! it sounds like something that should have come out maybe 10 years ago! Its not NoW! Average effort!
Loved Blackstreet, so just for being a member he gets two stars and another for his vocal abilities. I think he needs to get a Ne-yo song unfortunately. He wouldn't have to change up too much. Ne-yo writes real r&b with a mixture of soul in it.
This is soaking in radio hit potential. I would have liked to hear some more layering harmonies, but overall a solid effort. Maybe recruit Busta for the remix??
actually my birthday is in 7 dayss =) i'm happy
