Although he rose to fame as the lead vocalist of The Gap Band during the ‘70s and ‘80s, singer Charlie Wilson‘s solo career is still relatively young. Currently wrapping-up his fourth studio album Supa Sexy, Uncle Charlie has ventured into an experimental stage and takes us to the dance floor with Let It Out. Joining him is the man who gave him his nickname, as Snoop Dogg spits the same laidback game we’ve heard from the OG since his rap birth in ‘92. With the use of a techno-heavy beat, anyone born in the latter half of the 20th century (and a few in the 21st), should find plenty to enjoy with Let It Out. Supa Sexy will be set for release sometime later this year.
I certainly wouldn't expect this kind of track from Charlie Wilson, I would've expected more of a slow sultry track.. not a 'dance' track. But it is a banging beat and having snoop on hand is really gonna get the word out on this track. It'll just take me a bit of time to get used to this track knowing Charlie Wilson sung it, but it is a hot track nonetheless.
Charlie Wilson is finna be on the charts with this one. Way to make a comeback. Not a lot of 70s and 80s artist can make music to truly appeal to this generation. Charlie has definitely accomplished this.
OK ... some house music. Charlie dropping hits like a bomb. Go old timer, show that age is nothing but a number. Snoop delivery is nicely fitted to the track.
lol...everytime i hear of charlie wilson..i think of the song when he was first name charlie last name wilson..lol..but this jawn right here is very nice..classic indeed...i sense a summer cult classic right here..
Everything about this song is just great! Can’t believe Charlie’s still able to make music that will move a generation than didn’t even know about The Gap Band (I didn’t). He sounds perfect on this. And when he and Snoop join forces, it’s like magic!
