It took Nelly roughly four years to release Brass Knuckles. Similarly, it has been four years – going on five – since the public last heard an album, let alone a new record, from Eminem. With the exception of A-list artists like Jay-Z, 50 Cent and Kanye West, all of whom seemingly drop a new project every year, most artists simply take their sweet time when recording new material. Such is not the case, however, for DJBooth favorite Charles Hamilton, who will drop the third mixtape in the Hamiltonization Process this Tuesday. The first listen off of the DJ Skee-mixed Staff Development is Ronald McDonald, a soulful record over which Charles works his magic. After all, a brand new mixtape every two weeks is pretty showstopping.
Nice chill laid back beat. I've liked Charles Hamilton's previous songs but this is in rotation. Not bad but not anything special at the same time. His flow is hot like always!!
My dude be on his grizzle! I'm digging the vibe. Dude's production is illy. He usually doesn't mix his tracks as well, but I suppose that's because it's just a mixtape. I don't mix my mixtape tracks as well as album joints either. I've liked some of his past joints better, but this is nice as well. I'll throw it in rotation for now.
CH is one of the best. We just don't know it yet. Sorta like when we heard lupe on Touch the sky. This song may bore some of yall, but reminds me of that vibe that Rawkus records had back in 98. This is nice right here.
Beat is good and his flow is decent, but honestly when he sings larelaree (ahahah I don't know how to write it) he sounds horrible! Not a bad song but it's a little weak for my tastes
