Don’t call it a comeback…actually, feel free to call it a comeback. Even Charles Hamilton is. Earlier this summer Hamilton’s label temporarily shelved the rising star due to alleged mental health problems, leading to roughly six-months of near silence from the always verbose rapper, but Hamilton has finally broken the ice again with the release of his new track, the aptly-titled Charles Hamilton is Back. An epically motivated cut with cinematic production from Hamilton himself, lyrically Hamilton wastes no time taking shots at everyone who’s slighted him over the past few months, railing against, “Critics that can’t stand him, triggers that can’t blam him, executives that can’t ban him.” Almost no rookie rapper has inspired the level of love and hate that Hamilton has, and now, if nothing else, the heated debate surrounding the man should resume again in three, two, one… Charles Hamilton is Back will be part of his provocatively titled new project The Normalcy Project, slated to drop December 9 (assuming he can keep his mental intact).

Okay, so Hamilton is back huh? Does this mean we are about to get hit over the head with 4 mixtapes a week for the next two months? I hope dude keeps his good sh*t to himself and waits for a great opportunity to release it.

Nice one-liners, great production (epic sounding), overall nice. Glad to have CH back (mostly).

"I go off like Analog TV"
"I will eat these bugs, Simba"

Charles Hamilton is certainly back and it's almost like he has a chance to re-introduce himself to the world.

I hope he executes it correct this time, because this is one of the best tracks I've ever heard from him.

lists John Williams as a favorite musician. Sounds like a well-rounded dude. honestly I forgot all about him. Has it really been a year since Brooklyn Girls??

Note: my ranking should be 3 stars, but for some reason it's 4 and I can't change it.
this is aight. I think the production begs for him to go hard on it, but it just comes off as just some thoughts he's having, nothing too serious. Overall kinda a letdown.

I've never really got into CH's music. His other songs have left no lasting impression for me. This production was unique but honestly, I wasn't feeling it too much. The hook was boring, too. The only thing I really liked about this was some clever lines in the verses.

Rap needs CH back! He's talent all around. One of the best to really interpret his lyrics and make it authentic. Production is always dope and fresh!

Very good song to come back on, not saying hip hop needs him, but he does play a put role on the underground scene, needs more stronger album cuts....

First off, this production is nasty, just sick. Not quite John Williams level, but not that far off. Second, rhymes aren't perfect, but you've got to respect the flow. With all that said, the man's needs to drop an album. Only then will hip-hop truly be able to measure him.

Almost forgot, if I was Hamilton I wouldn't be bragging so much about being interviewed by Carson Daly. I'm just sayin.

Charles has made mistakes in the past and we’re all pretty aware of them. But I hope with this time-off and break from blogs and being under the public eye he can grow into be the artist he’s always claimed to be.

Track is nice, not five-star worthy tho! Mean verses but flow could've used some more excitement, and hook is ___

“I woulda dropped an entire anthology… b!tch n!ggas crying is what inspired the apology.”

I was never a huge Charles Hamilton fan before but I do like this track. The production is decent but I do like his punch lines. I'm looking forward to more music from him.
