Charles Hamilton is all about the music. In the midst of releasing eight mixtapes in what he has dubbed the “Hamiltonization Process,” the Harlem resident is still dropping new non-mixtape records into our inbox on the daily. To help fans bide their time until next week’s release (available on September 16), Hamilton has created a Free Download; a for-the-heck-of-it song, which samples Kelis’s Get Along With You and finds the emcee offering commentary on rappers who only talk about money during our nation’s current recession. Following the December 9 release of the eighth and final mixtape in the series, the Interscope signee will prepare to drop his currently-untitled debut album at the top of 2009.
i mean its pretty good lyrically, but it doesnt seem... "charles hamilton-esque" i hope we dont lose the whole originality thing once he drops an album
I loved this song! Kelis Get along with you. Yea man! Wow this dude Charles is a monster. I swear. He'll sample anything. And murder it. Minus that terrible singing on the hook. lol This is on fire.
The overlap of Charles' flow and the girl's sample is very good to listen to! Anyway the sample is ok for the verses but too bland for the hook...I would have liked to hear a better chorus for this song! Anyway it's in rotation
