Charles Hamilton isn’t quite a rapper, but he isn’t quite a singer either. He is his own entity, a producer-turned-performer with a raw voice and a playful delivery resembling a cross between Damian Marley and Lil Wayne’s sing-songy alter-ego. Brooklyn Girls, a leaked single off his upcoming mixtape, Green Lantern Presents Charles Hamilton: Outside Looking, is the perfect exhibition for this blossoming artist. The track is a punchline-filled affair that finds Hamilton paying just as much homage to himself as he does to Brooklyn girls, backed by the artist’s own production work. Surprisingly, the confidence he exudes in his words is convincing enough to come off as more than just empty swagger, leading one to believe that he may really be the next big thing.
This dude is a bit original. I'll have to look out for some more. The bat is real eclectic too. It's missing a little something though...once again like in some of some previous track I've said this about, I can' t really put my finger on it. I'll through this is rotation though.
he ll no......sound like recorded this in bathroom with the window open and water running....well ok the hook is ok...but dude better tighten up..sound like a fake Maino...trying tooo hard
Charles Hamilton is backed by Violator and recently signed with Interscope... the kid clearly has some talent (please save the "yeah, but Interscope also signed Soulja Boy" lines). His voice might be 'different,' but his wordplay is very creative and this beat is solid.
Hmmm, I don't know I'm listening to this headknodding... but damn I can't hardly hear the beat or anythingelse. If production was better probably would of been alot sweeter. I like it though.
His voice is just SCRATCHY, d@mn, it just tears my ear-drums up LOL, i give this guy props though, and i also think is he didn't try to hit the high notes a little bit and just stay flow like the chorus he would be FLY!. 3 just for him.
Man this is sooo fresh man. This is a summer jam and yall is hatin. This dude got a sick flow with some pretty good lyrics. This song is a classic NY banger, and there aint nothin like an NYC banger. CLASSIC!
Wow... it took me so long to hear this.. I thought it was not worth a listen due to the low ratings... :s you are bunch of... naaah it's okay, y'all will like what you want. His lyrics are worth of being called that (no SouljaBoy $hit)and the production is flame! His voice is not even close as annoying as Soulja Boy's, so...
The more i listen to this, the more its wearin on me. I think with betta sound quality it would stand to be more appealin to the ears the first time round.
Wack?!? Are you people nuts?!? You must be faurly young and used to hearing the same-ol-sounding music being stuffed down your throats...you folks have the worst taste in legitimate hip-hop...you've been ruined by so much of this 'not-so-creative' stuff dropped over the past few years...this is hot!
