Charles Hamilton’s comeback tour is off to a rocky start. After garnering some deserved praise from the Booth for Charles Hamilton is Back, his next track Loserville received mixed reviews, and then his new Normalcy Project mixtape missed its release date last Wednesday. Only Hamilton knows what’s going on behind closed doors, so in the meantime we’ll have to be content with new leaks like Air Agains. A track that’s immediately remarkable for its far left-of-center, Bollywood-influenced beat, produced by Hamilton itself, Air Agains is truly memorable for the man’s lyrical output, a scorching four minutes that touch on everything from his anger at MTV for leaving him off its Hottest MCs list to the assassination of Martin Luther King: “I just blacked out like Dr. King’s future, oh you rappers say you got a dream, do ya?” I think we all know lines like that could only come from the mind of one man. The Normalcy Project is now set to drop…um…whenever Hamilton decides. Stay tuned for more

Hamilton (lyrically) has always been a little off the rocker, so to speak, but that is part of what makes him such a talented artist. I feel like his direction on this record makes it seem as though he is trying to channel his inner-Eminem a bit, but I gotta give him credit - some of these lines are genius.

I hope this project drops soon (Charles, whats the deal bro?) because I would like to hear this song within the context of a complete body of work.

The man has some real creative lyrics but that's all I ever enjoy out of his songs. The beat and hook are boring.

Listened to it back to back a couple times.. I think its a great mixtape track.. And I like the beat. Defintely getting his shady on.. I thats why says chuck at the start, the alter ego thing.. I think he's best when he's himself and a bit more soulful and this track seems likeit was made very quickly, could have used more effort, but this is still a level above what other rappers put out as mixtape @*#$!. Including lupe, if you ask me.. Please no one shoot me, I love lupe! lol. 3.5 for me, but putting 4 cos CH gets unfairly negatively rated by the public I feel so Im helping adjust the average..

After a few listens I can say that I pretty much unabashedly enjoyed this. I appreciate the out of the box production, and lyrically Hamilton's one of those rare emcees that I hang on every word. It's odd that he compared himself both to Jim Crow laws and MLK's killer, still puzzling those ones over, but at least he's got me paying attention to every word. That's more than I can say for most of these rappers.

this is fresh, and the hook doesnt kill it like other Ham songs. Lyrically its on point and his flow sounds better than ever. Looking forward to Normalcy, but I dont think it can beat Pink Lava Lamp.

i think this COULD have been a banger. looks like Hamilton needs some direction. not sure he can do this all by himself.

First off, sorry, I can't place that sample source for y'all. Its been chopped and flipped brilliantly. At most, those plucked strings in background sound like its jacked from some Punjabi folk-song.

As for the song, once again, lyrically its all gold but he needs to make his hooks and beats a little more accessible. Not in my personal list but its Rotation fa sho!

Haven't been able to respect him much after seeing him get punched by a chick in a video lol and like I said he just seems off to me, his voice is just annoying to me, but I agree his uniqueness definitely hooks me in every once in a while, mainly due to the production though. In rotation because beat is banging
