At 3 AM one recent morning, Eminem was surprised to find that his evil alter-ego, Slim Shady, had gone on one of his murderous rampages and left the grisly remains all over the apartment floor.  Turn the clock ahead twelve hours to 3PM, and you find fellow ‘Scope MC Charles Hamilton channeling his own darker side, fittingly personified as Shadow the Hedgehog.  In addition to his murderous bars, Hamilton serves up a spine-tingling choir-guitar-old-piano beat—don’t shut this off before you hear his ‘sound collage’ denouement, which incorporate samples from classic movies, Spanish rock music, and South Park3PM might not be familiar territory for Charles Hamilton, but it’s most certainly proof of his versatility as an artist.  Fans can hear more of Hamilton’s many styles on his upcoming debut album, This Perfect Life—submitted to Interscope just last week, the LP is set to hit stores sometime this June.

CH is so different…and I mean little TOO different. I still love dude’s music, but this is way out there. Still kind of dope I guess after a couple listens, but he definitely accomplished the 'different' objective.

If he gets out there on radio/TV with the summer release, I’m wondering how consumers will receive him.

Better then 3AM, though the song still aint super flash. CH is a very unique MC, it will be interesting to see if he catches on with mainstream music fans in the next year or so.

I'm a fan. This shows that Hamilton has the ability to go left of center and still impress. The kid has undeniable talent; it might take some longer than others to see it. SOLID mixtape track.

Pretty standard for a CH mixtape track. He seems to follow the same pattern: good lyrics, average/below average beats. Nothin real special but i like it. 3.5, in rotation

...is this guy serious? I like Charles Hamilton too but this is pure GARBAGE! I wanna hear more music like "Brooklyn Girls" or "MTV Cribs" not this BS! Dude rhyming over a bass and a clap and a vocoded voice you can find on Fruity Loops! Sorry, no support for this one!

Wow, a very interesting song from one of my favorite artist to welcome me back to the djbooth. This will definitely not become one of my favorite songs from CH, but it is unique. As Z said he can "go left of center", but I think it's more catch your attention for what he's saying than impressing anyone. I'm not feeling the beat really, but the lyrics even though CH is doing this lazy flow makes u wanna pay attention. I'm a give this 3 stars~(**)~

I really don't know what to think about this one. I thought the production was cool at first, then it got old very quickly. Charles flowed pretty well. I'll give it a 3.

I liked his flow but not the production. After one minute of this I'd be completely exasperate, it's too repetitive!

This is similar to what I've been lookin for from CH. It is a super wierd and original track that is very listenable at the same time. I love the crazy robot-like sample on the hook and the dark nature of the production. This is above average for Sonic(Shadow) when it comes to the wordplay and storytelling. Just short of a banger for me: 3.5

Strange beat by CH as usual but it gets easy on my ears after a few listens. The vibe is a little dark and the hook is just decent. Not one of his best songs by any means because of the quality of the production, but its still downloadable status because of his lyrics alone. In rotation
