As if the “Texas Takeover” remix wasn’t enough, rapper Chamillionaire leaked an extended remix (via his website) to Ultimate Victory‘s Won’t Let You Down on New Year’s Eve. That remix has arrived at DJBooth and all that can be said is wow! At eighteen minutes long it is the longest track in the Booth’s history (topping The Game‘s remix to One Blood), and features a who’s who of Houston, Texas. That list includes (among several others) Underground Kingz Bun B and Pimp C, the Screwed Up Click (Lil’ KeKe, Big Pokey, Lil’ O, ESG, Lil’ Flip), the Guerilla Maab (Trae & Z-Ro), the major leaguers (Slim Thug, Mike Jones, Paul Wall), the rising stars (Rob G, Famous, Grit Boys, Chingo Bling, Magno), the femcees (Raw LT & Troublesum) and lastly the OG Geto Boys (Scarface, Willie D, Big Mike). If you have 18 minutes to kill, enjoy Cham’s trip through H-Town!
Too many people, I think. The last remix had a way stronger start off (Cham). This started off somewhat weak. Bun B, Z-Ro & Pimp C were there for a strong kill, now they're thrown around and the end isn't as strong. The overall feels very... well, it's weak. I don't even think I need to go to the end of this.
fiya gotta say i been riding with texas before the majors, im talking the original SUC R.I.P DJ SCREW, FAT PAT, BIG MOE, H.A.W.K, PIMP C, BIG MELLO. ESG to me had the hardest flow on this i take that back face had the best esg come next. z-ro and trae killed it two. Big POkey did his thang to. its good to see all the artist come together from one city and surrounding areas. nobody doing it like that not even atl. so i gots to show love.
im down wid dis joint but i think it needs more deeper bass in it.chamillionaire is allways stepin there game up wid fans but i think in sum way all there songs sound da same lol.they need 2 change there styl alil bit coz ppl will get bored wid dem with in time.
For Cham to put together an eighteen minute track is quite amazing. With countless features you can't expect everyone to shine at their best. Houston's lovin' this one!
UGK Rips this from the beginning nicely! RIP Pimp C; and Bun B did his thing hard! This is a super long track and I have to give them all credit for coming through and being apart of this track. It's not bad at all, but with a track so long, who would listen to it for a second time?
If you actually listen to the ENTIRE remix you'll be impressed at how Cham spread out the verses from most of his big dawgs. Most artists would blow their lid and put all the notables at the top of the remix, that isn't the case here. The only reason why some of the verses come off as lame is because (as is mentioned various times above me) UGK kicks it off.
nice way for cham to start off two thousand and great!!...The original, the heavy hitters remix, and the extended remix all go hard!! classic 5 star salute
I was already feelin the original but for him to add in all those artists, ooh wee. Chamillionaire outdone himself this time, I`m bettin Texas is loving this :]
as a cham fan i like all his verses even the weak ones and it goes the same for his songs. this song sure as hell aint weak tho. prolly the best remix i have heard in a while. and it is longer than the 300 bars by game cuz the first 5 minutes are talkin by kids. still waitin to hear a song with cham and luda tho....
