Chamillionaire - Make a Movie
Artist: Chamillionaire
Producer: Happy Perez
Album: Venom
Label: Chamilitary
The mixtape messiah Chamillionare is back and looking to build some hype for his upcoming third studio album Venom. With the help of Lloyd and Twista, Cham hopes to pick up where he left off after the semi-success of his sophomore album with the release of lead single Make a Movie. The track’s production comes from Happy Perez, who has been making tracks since No Limit’s How You Do Dat, and although the production is not what you would expect from the wood-grippin, candy paint dripping Texas rapper, the lyrics aren’t your typical Southern offering either. Although Cham does talk about his car, the song centers around his penchant for seducing women and then convincing them to make a “movie.” Ya know, the type of movie Kim Kardashian, Kendra and Eve have all starred in? Lloyd and Twista are certainly no stranger to songs about doing naughty things, but this is definitely a different approach for Cham. Do y’all think this move into the bedroom will help or hurt him? We’ll find out for sure when Venom drops…sometime.

I don't NOT like this record, but at the same time I am not the biggest fan. So many of Cham's previous hit singles spoiled me as a fan of his work. His flow and style will always be unique enough to make each listen worthy of my time, but there needs to be more. I've heard it. "Make A Movie" just doesn't seem to have it. (But who knows, maybe this will grow on me in due time.)

This would be wayyyy better without Cham singing on it. He had a nice flow. Lloyd delivered with smooth vocals. Good to hear from Twista again. He's still got it in him. All sounded good over the beat.

Mannnn as BIG a Cham fan I am I really can't stand this track. I know he has to do tracks like this for exposure, but this is bad by Cham's standards. Not a fan of Main Event Either...Where's the actual VENOM?!!!!! ...I still have Ultimate Victory to bump

I'm a new member here but I've noticed from visiting this site that ya'll are way to critical of music most of the time. Seems like everybodys working for a movie rating company. You guys need to take this song for what it is. And that's a radio single. How much complexity and substance is really needed to have a hit on the radio. You have to dumb down the music these days for the mainstream audience. Anyway, I am a fan of Chamillionaire but I don't think that is makes me biased. This is not even confirmed to be on his new album. I do think this song is cool though and hope is does well.

nice. was expecting a street anthem as a 2nd single off venom, but this works too. cham was on point and twistas aggressive flow goes perfectly well with this production. lloyd's soft vocals fits the theme and gives this nice vibe. cant wait till album drops.

Nice to hear from Chamillionaire again. Twista was the real star of the record though, his flow is legendary. The song is just average though.

it's alright. Could be better.... twista ripped it though. This would be a better song without chammillionaire, no lie.

Judging by the first 3 "trailers" for this project, it's a safe bet I won't be buying tickets for Hakeem's latest motion picture. The let's "Make A Movie" theme is tired, but Lloyd and Twista do make good choices for co-stars.

This would of been such a better track if Chamillionaire wasnt on it (yea I cant believe I said that either). In my opinion, he just dosnt sound right when rapping on tracks like this.
The guest features were the highlights. The hook from Lloyd was smooth & Twista sounded so much more comfortable making this track then Cham did. |

Really not a Chamillionaire fan at all, though I do respect his grind, I'm just don't like his voice for some reason, just not my thing. I am however a fan of Twista, and Lloyd but even there part on the song is lacking at best. Could be smoothed out a little more in that true "wood grain-grippin, candy paint dripping" Texas style. I can only do two stars on this one fellas.

I'm a fan of Cham and I didn't think this was as terrible as some of the reviews lead you to believe. I'm a fan of Lloyd as well but I wasn't feeling his hook. Twista ripped it as usual and it's definitely in rotation. I'm giving it 3.5 but rounding up because of twista!

"Gonna get you so wait you'll regret not bringing a mop." Yeah, that's gross.
Point it, the sexy ladies jams aren't really Cham's strength, unlike Twista an Lloyd, who sound more than at home here. And for the record, this doesn't have to be some sort of you're either a Cham fan or not referendum. It's completely possible to be a huge fan of someone's work (like I am with Cham) and just not be feeling a particular tracks - just like sometimes artists I don't think are very good surprise me and make great records. |

I have to admit that I ALWAYS thought Chamillionaire was WACK! Then I heard one of his mixtapes and everything I thought was confirmed...Just a weak artist all around in my opinion (lyrically, vocally, etc). Anyway, I like the beat on this track, and he actually sounds better here than I can recall. Lloyd sounds good on the chorus. Not a bad track. I can throw it into rotation. Twista makes the track better...Good work from him here.

Twista murked it a little better than usual. Lloyd was super smooth. I agree with JKL11293, Cham's singing doesn't work on a song with this kind of vibe. His verse was nice though. Venom needs to drop.

Chamillionaire got sexy! =O Oh wow.
I'm diggin' this track... I enjoy all these artists' voices. So with straing lyrics, a good beat, and a hella cute topic; pssssh, greatness! |

A couple of things.
First, when you have Lloyd on a hook, there is absolutely no reason for anyone else to even touch it, it can only hurt the chorus. Second, twista's flow is fire! (but when is that not true?) Third, the beat needs to have a little more in my opinion for radioplay. Just missed a big hit. |

Throw in Luda instead of Cham and you've got yourself a hit! For what this track is, a shot at mainstream success, I can dig it!

This is a good look for Chamillionaire! Lloyd sounded great on the vocals and Twista wrecked his verse. I can definently here myself jamming this again.

This seems like a beat that you would get deep, so i dont think the song concept really matches the beat, not chams best, and i think this was the worst hook outta the 3 lloyd has been in in like 3 days, which isnt saying much

Cham's attempt at another single. And yet again enlists another "rapid-fire" rapper. I guess Krayzie Bone was busy again?
Can Chamillionaire hold down a single by hisself? I think the chorus is cheesy (Maino's Make a Movie was waaay better) and his verses don't do it. Next.. |

Pretty solid track. Cham does his thang, but I think Twista's guest appearance makes the track! His cadence is rediculous! Lloyd's contribution just sets it on off.

I don't like Chamillionaire in these "smooth" songs. He just tries to be too radio-friendly and in my opinion he can't rap ...quietly... So Twista is a good addition and LLoyd does well too. Because of Chamillionaire and the beat, which reminds me a bit of "Relax", i will give this 3 stars.
