After failing to achieve Ultimate Victory on his last album, Chamillionaire went M.I.A. for several months. When he returned this past summer with the DJBooth-certified Mixtape Messiah 4, however, King Koopa provided more than enough proof that his sophomore slump was over. Now, continuing to keep his agitators aggy, the Houston emcee has provided us with Keep Hatin’, a freestyle over the instrumental from DJ Khaled’s smash single, Go Hard. While The Runners’ production gave K. West extra ‘Rep Yo Hood’ boost on the original, the H-Town lyricist rhymes over the intimidating beat with his usual flow and energy. Keep Hatin’ is the first listen from the fifth installment of Cham’s popular Mixtape Messiah series, due out this November.

Although I'm a big Koopa fan this song dissapointed me. T-Pain is a much better fit for the hook and Cham straight messed up the hook. His lyrics are solid but not as good as his previous hit freestyles. I still give this a 4 even though it dissapointed me cuz his lyrics are better than 95% of the hiphop game right now.

I dig Koopa usually yo, but I think this is really wack. I'm not feeling his flow or energy on this at all. It seems really unfocused and boring. Maybe that means it's a real freestyle though, so I do commend him for that. It's OK.

The original version of Go Hard is great... so a freestlye over the beat might not be as good..but considering it is "The Mixtape God" Chamillionaire goes hard on this track...i was actually expecting a lil something better from him but still hes on top of his game and better than most rappers out there today...if you go to www.blackplanet.com/JMAC_979_BOX he just dropped another freestyle exclusively for JMAC and you can only find it there...it is the beat from "Live Your Life" by T.I. ft Rihanna...its called Texas 4 Life and its really just a run down of all the Texas Rappers and some other people but then again its just an exclusive...still pretty good though...CHAMILLIONAIRE IS A BEAST...PERIOD!

No one can hold a candle to killa cham, sure other rappers sell more records but they don't have near the swag he's got. can't wait for his next cd, has anyone heard anything about him and paul doing another cd together? other than that cd's sick and deserves some spins.

Cham needs to release an album with just all of his freestyles released in the past 2 months. That alone would produce a 9/10 hip hop album. Just imagine what the actual album will sound like, I'm hoping just as hot. This freestyle is no different than anything else he's put out recently. I will say that it's probably a step back in my opinion, but it still rightfully deserves banger status and will be put into my radar. Cham is killin it underground with the internet freestyles lately, damn.

I've never heard the original version of Go Hard, I'm curious so I'm "youtubing" it...this is an overall great song, but sometimes he's really annoying. Of course the production is banging, the background music is one of the most beautiful ones I have ever heard on the Booth. He sounds good in the hook but in other parts he seems to rap at random! I don't know if this is better than the original..it has T-Pain which I don't like much more than Chamillionaire! Uhm I decided this is better, at least there's no autotune...3,5! Ps: production is classic

prefer stuff on MM4 to this...and dj booth, how was ultimate victory a slump...it was the best album of 07!!

Nad101, there's no disputing that The Ultimate Victory was a great album. The sales, however, are what we are referring to. The album didn't come close to living up to expectations in terms of units sold.

dang man im tellin you if cham did a song with EMINEM it would smash the rap game..i love the second verse of dis freestyle how he switches back and forth from koopa to hater..his style is flame. Mixtape messiah 5 allready..its only been a month..den his album in december. i hope he gets the recognition he deserves..

Thank you to everyone for the props on the new color scheme. It might or might not be permanent, we'll see. Cham's freestyle here was not his best work; in fact, I do not prefer it to the original version of this song. With that said, I loved MM4 and look forward to MM5.
