Chamillionaire - Good Morning
Artist: Chamillionaire
Producer: DJ Frank E
Album: Untitled
Label: Chamilitary
Though the road to the release of his junior album (formerly known as Venom) has been a long and arduous one, it seems Chamillionaire may finally have found his mainstream niche. The project’s newly-selected lead single sees the Houston emcee suggesting an unorthodox solution to the ever-present problem of hater-dom: simply tell your critics “Good Morning!” and continue cheerily on your way. Frank E.‘s beat adds to the inspirational vibe—there ain’t nothing like a sample of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ Free Fallin’ to get you energized and ready to go in the morning! Though said album still lacks a title, Chamillionaire has announced December 8th as the official release date via his own Chamilitary imprint and Universal Republic. Here’s hoping this single leaves Cham once again “risin’ and shinin’” on the Billboard charts!

i know a lot of ppl are gonna hate on this and say hes going too pop or that he shouldnt mess with a classic rock song or pimp c's version was better..i like tom petty and chamillionaire so for me its the hannah montanna package: best of both worlds. i hope his album does well

Whoa...way outta left field on this one. Can't lie though, this is crack LOL! This is about to be a crazy hit for Cham, a different look but he needed a new route after his "Creepin Solo" aka duplicate 'Ridin Dirty' didn't pick up.
This is a mix of something Ja Rule/Plies/Flo Rida would do with a hint of a Black Eyed Peas leftover track. Feelin it though. Hello Top 40 radio. |

I refuse to act hard and say this isn't a good look for Cham. I have listened to this record at least 8 times over the past 48 hours. CB said "crack." I agree.

This can end up being a really good single for Cham. It's a feel good song, it should work. Cham is one of the few Hip Hop artists that could get this to work properly.

I still can't get over how "Creepin'" didn't hit mainstream, or even urban, radio harder. While I don't enjoy this track even half as much as I did the latter, it's still a nice, feel-good jam that I can definitely see myself repeating for a while. Lyrics are strong. Production is great. Although, to be devil's advocate, it's literally the exact same chord from Free Fallin'; why does he even get a producer credit? Take out the synth and it's a carbon-copy.
Anyways, I hope this brings Cham's popularity back on track. I'm looking forward to his future release. I still listen to Ultimate Victory on a regular basis. I can definitely use some more. |

If you are still on blogs and stuff, calling records like this "too poppy", please Heath Ledger yourself. This record will do well for Chamillionaire. Catchy. Good beat. Radio ready. Fall back haters!

He may not have wanted to go this route with his music...but Cham gotta do what Cham gotta do to make that money...and this just might finally work for the radio...and lets hope it does...because it has a catchy beat and hook and his lyrics are on point as always...
I really hope this does well because all the hard work he puts in never seems to show.... |

It's catchy and clearly aimed at the "summer radio hit" audience. But it's way too repetitive and clearly just a knock off of another song with basically NO difference aside from a few good rhymes.
Don't get me wrong, I love Cham and this type of song is definitely a good direction to go for his career, but this could've been much better. |

I like the feel good vibe to it. As soon as he mentioned Cube's "good day" it drew a slight comparison for me. You have to be diverse if you want to last.

A-Yo! I wanna show all of my Haters love too .... with my stankin *ss morning breath all in your face with each and every syllable, I say ... Good Morning!
I agree, adhering to the generic topic of haters but even tracks of generic and sometimes questionable subject matter, such as this are more than welcome when executed with innovative and intelligence. A fresh! spin on the same thing. This is gonna be a hot track on the radio, production is memorable as well as the chorus. And as usual, be it for a radio-ready joint Koopa is not dumbing down his rhymes in any way to crossover. "Success is a woman I always had dreams of sexin/If wantin her is a crime just take me in for possession/Even in a recession, Im leavin a good impression/Reflection on the rims so they can see they expressions" As usual, Chamillionare incorporates his usual flurry of charismatic melody into hook and executes it with PERFECTION. Definitely one of my favorite Cham's hook. |

it's catchy, it's ok for what it is, & i'm sure he'll get the kinda of response he's looking for from his fans.
can i also say that this is probably one of the few songs that i was overpowered by the sample so much i couldn't really get into what he was sayin'. i think this was produced poorly. it reminded me of a bad karaoke version for a highschool talent show. |

It is okay but everybody in Texas knows that Pimp C was the first to rap on that beat. If you listen to Pimpalation that is the same beat on "Free".

To all my fans... specially "1_O-TYME_1"
i cant help i dont like this song! his singing is horrible. and that noise of a beat is annoying (for chamillionaire at least". Cham has good songs but this is FAR from one of them. |

I won't lie, at the beginning of the song I shook my head and thought that Cham had lost his mind. But, the verses were straight FIRE! He completely murdered it and the chorus became less annoying as time went on.
At the beginning of the song I would have sworn that a rock singer was about to open up with a verse. (Nickelback's Chad Kroeger anyone?) But then, of course none other than CHAM comes in! |
