In November of ‘08, Chamillionaire released Creepin’ (Solo), the lead single off his forthcoming junior album, Venom. Despite overwhelmingly positive reviews in the Booth (the average rating was 4.5, “Near-Classic”), the single never really caught on at radio; thus, he’s decided to release a new, reworked version. Though Ludacris’ closing verse and DJ Montay‘s beat are retained, the revamp features a brand new opening verse by the Koopa himself, followed by yet another guest feature. This time around, The Game adds to the cut’s hit potential with his own high-octane 16 bars. Venom is currently tagged for release this summer. Hopefully, this version of Creepin’ (Solo) will succeed where the original couldn’t and net the album a solid release date.

Hot-this song should get more airplay on the radios. Chamillionaire always spit hard on whatever song he on, Ludacris just killed this beat, and the game did his thing. This is better than the original. Solid record.

Not much to say...the original is straight fire and Chamillionaire just makes a new verse because everybody saying Ludacris killed him. I feel he's more hungry with his verse on here. I wish he would of had 2 verses though. The Game is perfect for this beat and he could of done and he was solid it and not much to say about Ludacris besides fire with his free flowing lyrics! Chamillionaire becoming a expert at makin fire hooks and this beat is hella sick! I put lipstick on my hollow tip.Put in the tip and blow a kiss! Koopa!

I never really got into the song, but its growin on me. The game is a nice change of pace on here, for real. His vibe fits the track well, as does the original verse from Luda.
The hook is what I didnt get into before, but it is kinda catchy and its growin on me. The thing about Chamillionaire is that he always has the same/similar flow. He often has some real tight/fresh lyrics but the same ol flow. Anyway, BANGER! |

Chamillionaire has got to be the most underrated "popular" rapper out there. All he does is consistently put out great tracks. People just think of him as "the Ridin' Dirty guy", but the guy is just a great rapper. Hopefully this album is more succesful than the last one.

This is a crazy song right here; along with the original it's my one of my favorite tracks this year. Maybe the reason it didn't pick up at radio is because no video was released and generally that's where hype comes from.

WOW...there is only 1 rating lower than a 4 and most ratings were classic.
The original was my favorite song when it came out but now this has become my new favorite...Chamillionaire came much harder even though he came hard on the original...and then The Game added the quickest bars I think I've ever heard him flow. I'm very confused though to why most all of his songs get high ratings...especially this one but then when it comes time for radio you will never hear it...he is obviously underrated and still one of the hardest in the mixtape game...enough said! |

@DJ Mike E. - Thats a very valid question! The reason is simple. PD's and MD's, who control what is played on the airwaves, don't often follow the consensus among listeners, but rather what they feel works for their station. Cham is a Houston artist and sadly, he is probably stereotyped as an artist who doesn't fit into the 'sound' of a certain city or region. With the addition of The Game, that might help expand things, but overall its a crappy system.
Keep the GREAT feedback coming... hopefully we can all make a difference!

yeah, i agree with the people above me....how the hell did the original get slept on? that s**t was straight fire. But this one is better than the original in my opinion. chams new verse was fire. love all three on this one. and im really glad that they didnt redo ludas verse - it was straight fire the first time. great track.

THIS IS BALLIN!!!!!!!!! i love how he mentioned "Slum Dog Millionare" because im indian haha and the first version was STRAIT FIRE because luda just absolutely KILLED IT and i like the new version more because chamillionare new verse is raw as helllll and the game also killed it and they left luda's verse alone cuz u cant possibly make it better...if this doesnt become #1 on the radio, i honestly dont kno wat will cuz this is STRAIT UP a classic

This is sad. When I heard the original, Chamillionaire made it clear that when your at the top, you have to always watch you back because anyone, even your friends, can come bck and bite. You can't even trust your shadow. Luda's verse sounds amazing, but I contributed absolutly no addition to this message of creeping solo. Now, this has become another cliche song about bragging about what you are and what you have. The whole message is gone but that's what it takes to get on the radio.
Original-4.9 because luda didn't add depth to the message, but his verse was killa New-4.5 Sounds really good to the ear and the game is in it, but it completly lost its central focus/message of it being lonely at the top. Thats just my oppinion |

While chamillionaire isn't my favorite, his voice on his hooks and his crazy flow has been capable of making banging hits. Feel like his prime might be over (hopefully I don't get yelled at for saying that haha), but his sound felt more "fitting" for a few years ago, probably why it doesn't catch on the radio maybe? The games verse OK. Ludacris killed it. I gotta rate it only a 3 :/

Both versions were fire. Luda MERKED his verse so I'm glad they kept his verse in there. Game did hot as well. Beat and rap are both solid. However, from a producer's point of view i think the vocals couldve been mixed better. Maybe adding some delay or reverb they sound a little too plain.

Witty lyrics from Chamillionaire, a sped up flow from Game reminiscent of his classic "Red Bandana", classic Luda spittin on point, all over a pretty good beat by DJ Montay isn't quite a classic, but a banger indeed. 4.5/5.

Certified Heat. Straight up the missing members of those who should be on a "swagger like us" track, I'm pretty much assuming (or I know that) they're not on pt. 2. But this is a much improved reboot of an already fantastic and classic sounding King Koopa song.
Cham came hard on the original but destroys it here. Game is improving all the time, wouldn't norally think that he could keep up lyrically with these other two but he holds his own. And Luda? Well he never disappoints and other artists must be getting skeptical about featuring him. While it makes the track better, you're more often than not likely to get 187'd on your own song. Why not on the radio? Because it isn't "Ridin'" that's why and that's what most of the general public remembers. I'm not the general public so: 2009 classic!! |
