Earlier this week, rapper Chamillionaire was named fourteenth on the newest Forbes Magazine list of Hip-Hop’s 20 Biggest Earners. Their site, which noted Cham’s successful ringtone download track record, album sales, and an endorsement deal with Energizer, claims the entertainer has built up a bank account worth approximately $10 million. However, if you take a good listen to his newest freestyle over The Game’s current single, My Life, you’ll quickly realize that financial success hasn’t changed the emcee. Fellow Houstonians Trae and Slim Thug both add verses over the Cool & Dre production, citing continued violence and the passing of Pimp C last year as reason enough that things could always be better. Next Wednesday, August 27, Chamillionaire will release the fourth volume in his popular Mixtape Messiah series.
Its been a while since we heard from Chamillionaire, but this is nice and easy, and his flow is nice which shows that he is a veteran....overall nice smooth track
This is hot, Trae and Slim Thug bothed did solid and Koopa killed it like always. The Mixtape King brought his game 110%!! Top 5 mc right now. Gotta give it a classic
Cham has been killin it on these freestyles lately. The Hero one was tight and this one is just as good. He knows how to keep his name out there when he doesnt have an album out, Cham is straight hustlin right now. He remains one of the select few artists from Texas that I can tolerate. If these freestyles are any indication of what his album will be like, then we're in for another banger. Lets just hope this new one gets marketed and promoted the right way....
Chamillionaire did his thing man. His flow sounded a little loud and heavy, but it was intense. I like the subject matter he's speaking upon. This is what most of these rappers need to do....they need to get their content/subject matter game up and start talking about some "subjects" that "matter". Trae sounded real dark...lol. Reminded me of Lupe on "Put You On Game". His vocal presence really captivates you. I'll toss this in rotation. I do like Game's version better, but this was definitely a good look by Chamilitary man!
Not better than The Game's version ONLY because this is a mixtape track....but being a mixtape track its still a classic and lyrically Chamillionaire beasted it...and Trae and Slim Thug brought some hardcore H-Town feel to the song....
Not gonna top game on this one. But this is cool. I gotta admit chamilli's rhythm is somewhat repetitive and is therefore annoying unless used on the right beat. Trae does his thing on the track. congratz once again on the key to the city in Houston. Slim Thug makes the song though.
I love the original, it's one of the few songs where I like Lil' Wayne...this is worse in my opinion! The background music is always great as they haven't changed it, but I'm not crazy for Chamillionaire's flow, it's boring...I like it when they sing, though!
I loved it, has an equal place in my heart as the Game's version. W/o Trae and SLim I don't think I would've felt as much just because of Cham's tone but the depth of this track is inspiring.
You really don't hear this music anymore, like polish, its been a while since we have heard from Chamillionaire. He is a true Veteran. I'm looking forward to his album
BACK FROM VACATION! UV made me a huge fan of hamillionaire, but I don't think this can match up to The Game's version. His had that certain flare in it that these artists didn't hit. However, as a freestyle, it has my respect. Not only that, but I'd be flat out lying if they did bad too, I'm just saying not AS good. R.I.P. PIMP C! Texas is going to keep it real for a long time to come, no matter what's going around them.
$10 mil? Nice, I actually didn't think he made that much.
Not as good as Games version but it gave it a good run for its money. Cham was straight. Trae killed this...and Mike Jones face. Slim Thug was a beast on here
