The 144th entry in our DJBooth.net Freestyle Series comes courtesy of Chalie Boy, the Lone Star State up-and-comer last heard on the official remix of regional smash I Look Good. On his brand new, exclusive T.E.X.A.S. on My Plate freestyle, the Dirty 3rd/Jive/Battery Records emcee flows over original boardwork by D-Nyce of Heatteam Recordings. Chalie Boy is currently preparing for the release of his latest street album, Life of an Entertainer (set to drop sometime in the next two weeks), as well as continuing to promote ‘09’s I’m Here mixtape.

Ya know what, DjKidd? I didn't know Chalie Boy had this in him either. That is why I am so pleasantly surprised with this freestyle. Not sure I would have seriously checked for Chalie before this, but now I am going to look out for him moving forward. His sound isn't my cup of tea, but this proves he has more than regional talent.

This is one of those tracks that Texas haters are going to (not surprisingly) hate on, but if you like those huge beats and spitfire flows, Chalie's delivered and then some.
Loved the "DJBooth.net" singing in the beginning. We should use that on our drops (LOL)

Definitely something you can bang-our Dirty South fans will LOVE it! Too bad he's signed to Jive...that's how we know we're never gonna get an official album from him. Still, his street albums definitely keep our ears fed!
And I agree with Nathan, we should use his "DJBooth.neeeeeeeeeet" intro as a drop! |
