When DJBooth first introduced Cene this past September, many of our members were surprised to hear that her debut single was released without the seemingly mandatory ‘hit-rapper guest spot.’ Well, Cene is back with a remix to My Bumper and it features Shawty Lo, who offers his Southern swagger, signature style and a male perspective on this metaphorical introduction for when boy-meets-and-grinds-with-girl. While our listeners’ response to the original version was mixed, those who enjoyed Cene’s singing will be pleased to hear her light, airy voice and smooth cadence over the same club-friendly beat produced by Roy “Royalty” Hamilton.
Roy Ham's production is nice. I don't remember the original track. Shawty Lo sucks like falatio on this. Cene is nothing special either. She better try again with something better
This track was made for radio play and should get a decent amount this summer. As for the feature, both artists are signed to Asylum, so the hookup was a no brainer.
Not Shawty Lo again! lol smh I like the production on here. Not bad. Her voice doesn't really stand out in any way to me in fact I don't really dig it.
I'm not crazy about the addition of Shawty Lo and he definitely seems a little out of place on this record. They also T-Pain'd Cene's vocals so they sound manufactured, which is unnecessary because she's got a great voice. They could've pushed the original and had a hit record months ago...
I personally Love this song!! It might have been better with cene by her self but i feel like cene on her grind and doing her thang and she can really sing trust me i know every one has an opinion so thats fine but look at the goodies song pete pablo was on it and he wack but ciara song was a smash. i feel the same way about this song!! Maybe u should really read up on her and find out more u and u might understand i mean dang the girl was born deaf in one ear i feel thats a blessing to be able to sing and to let the world know that about herself makes her a leader but its only my opinion so i guess thats it!! I LOVE CENE!!!
like dat lil melody but shawty lo is weak on dis track. He doesnt match well with the sing-a-long chorus but Cene is alright on this track. this is alright
I liked the original version (don't ask me why, I don't know)and this is better, the beat has something more! Shawty Lo isn't that good to me, but it's good for this track! Yeah reishma this song is quite old, I even forgot about it
it's not that good. She sound like she singing background or something. Step it up a notch girl. I like Shawty LO, but he wasn't to hot in this song. He should have said more on the track.
