Cece Segarra‘s already been dubbed “the Princess of Miami” (by DJ Khaled, no less) but it seems that the up-and-coming singer’s get her eye on something much bigger. That’s right: she’s looking to conquer Outerspace. It goes without saying that a future Queen of the Universe should settle for nothing less than total devotion on the relationship front; thus, new single Go Your Own Way finds the Weight Records signee nonchalantly cutting loose a fella who’s been pursuing another woman on the side. Surprisingly, the guy in question – played here by Gucci Mane – seems no more perturbed about the situation than the headliner. Over Heavyweights’ club/radio-ready piano-synth backdrop, the currently-incarcerated Radric Davis explains “I thought I would be sad about it but I’m really not / I got another chick to chill with and she’s really hot.” Fair enough, I guess. If this amiable breakup record leaves you hungry for more of Cece’s stellar pop stylings, you’ll be able to find what you crave on her freshman album when it hits stores this spring. In the meantime, you know the drill – keep it locked for all the latest.

Not my personal cup of tea, but certainly a radio/club record with massive ear-candy appeal. The youngin's will be singing along (to the non-Gucci part) and DJs will rotate.

Cece sounds like a mix of Ashanti and Kesha to me but maybe it's just me!!
This song would of been good without Gucci but her label is just trying to attract radio play with the feature!! Not a Gucci fan AT ALL but he doesn't add nor take away from the track!! |

Huge sigh. I was terrified that this was going to be a remix of Fleetwood Mac's Go Your Own Way. That would have been a disaster.
As is, I've got nothing against this at all. The beat's hypnotic, Cece's vocals are solid and Gucci's verse is, well, exactly what we'd expect from a Gucci verse. Throw it on the radio, give it a couple spins, I won't hate.

I am thrilled that the comments (thus far) have been strictly related to the music at hand and not Cece's profile photo. Female artists (sometimes) use sex to sell bad music. That did not happen in this case.
