Countless up-and-comers have made it their mission to usher hip-hop into a New Golden Era, each approaching that mission from a slightly different angle than the last—some put a premium on socially-aware subject matter, others on engaging flows, and still others on vivid lyricism. If his first Booth feature is any indication, Cause strives to succeed on all three aforementioned fronts, while maintaining a decidedly forward-looking sound. In Too Deep can be considered something of a musical mission statement; over a synth-laced, street-oriented instrumental by Sean Divine, the Bronx up-and-comer showcases his attention-grabbing flow as he spits a potent mix of allusive boasts and power-to-the-people rhetoric, and his ability to keep things entertaining while touching on weighty sociopolitical issues will likely earn this newcomer positive reviews in the Booth. In Too Deep is set for inclusion on a forthcoming project whose title and release date are TBA, but fans can hear more on Cause’s recently-released debut LP, The New Golden Era.

First off: I co-sign Z's review...
This dude nearly made my jaw drop when he began to spit, cuz he just has that flow. On the real, you only hear that emcee once in a while whose flow is so fluid that make it sound like its nothin. How did he spit all them syllables and wordplay and still make it sound smooth as butter? IDK but I will be lookin out for Cause. I love the streetness, social consciousness, lyricism, and repeatability all featured in this track. |

This dude has so much potential..just listening to this song makes you realize how much talent he has. The production is hot and his flow is so smooth while spitting hot lyrics at the same time. The words he fits in one breath dont seem crowded or forced at all. Banger for sure!

This is definitely an interesting track. I mean, it has seemingly everything to make a Classic track, and yet it's only gotten one classic rating. Interesting...I don't know why, but I can't call this classic either. It's a great track, but something's missing.

I'm really blown away by his delivery. I'm not to in love with the beat though..sounds a little video gamish to me..but.. Causes flow more than made up for any perceived deficits there.

Aussie, we are looking to implementing a way to make changes to ratings very soon. Hold tight.
Im really feeling this, the beat, flow and lyrics, all get 5s from me. I feel like if the hook was sung by t-pain, dream, or someone like that then this would be an absolute hit. Cause holds it down on the hook, but I just feel like a talented singer would have made this a mainstream hit. Ima be on the lookout for Cause. Wheres that freestyle Z?

The production is wooow, his flow is cool but there's something in it which annoyes me. I really like how he matches the music in the hook but I find him boring in the verses. That's why this isn't a banger to me. Not yet. It may grow on me

LoVe it...man is smooth, natural, effortless. Lyrics are real, but flow is so fluid that it keeps the mood from sinking into a dark profound state, this songs just floats!
