Shortly after it premiered on her MySpace page this past April, DJBooth featured Cassie’s new single Official Girl. Evidently, the song wasn’t quite as official as all the parties involved wanted it to be. Since then it has been fine-tuned by the production tandem of Danja and The Clutch and now boasts a guest verse from none other than Lil’ Wayne. While Cassie’s vocals go unchanged from the original version, Wayne’s closing vocals make their way through Mr. Auto-tune. Though the Connecticut native’s forthcoming sophomore album still remains untitled, this after months of speculation and rampant rumors around the net, the official launch of Official Girl might help Cassie find her way back into her comfort zone: the club.

Alright Cassie we all know you want to be diddys "OFFICIAL GIRL" but hes a man whore and who can blame him? but seriously you are fine as hell but i would ranther look at pics of you in BLACKTAIL than here you singing garbage songs like this. Lil wayne always ROCKS with his "HIP ROCK" for those that dont know lil wayne doesnt just rap he rides the beat and flows with it just awesome

the sond is decent. lil wayne had a good presence on this, nie delivery i dont think he said much though. but overall the song is decent. in rotation.

i prefer the original with rain. people are always hating on her. cassie is a pretty good singer, her music always accomplish its goal and become great hits. she may not be the best singer, vocally, but she knows how to work the mike.

Cassie remains the finest chick in the game in my opinion, daaayum just look at that pic. The production by Danja is pretty good, and Waynes verse is above average. 3/5 for those two things, sorry Cassie...

Production is awesome. I will say that. Cassie is such a looker...I will say that. But her singing is nothing to jump around about. I mean, it's not bad, but it's not good either. It just sounds really plain like any nameless average singer. I'm glad that Lil Wayne girl didn't use the voice box. His verse wasn't anything special though either. This song is really not poppin. Two stars.

Cassie was good. Wayne can fit almost any track perfectly. I think I heard his verse on a mixtape recently. Overall its in rotation

I almost gave it a 4, but I don't think the beat is quite club-ish enough to be all over the clubs like a 4-star song would. Definitely in rotation, though. Danja always kills it on the beats and Lil' Wayne came with a pretty good verse. If the song does blow up, it'll obviously be because of Lil' Wayne, who now controls the airwaves all over the country. Cool song, though. Definitely gets a few spins on my iPod. I was feelin' "Thirsty" a lot more, though.

sorry...i can not cosign this version when Karina Pasian sung this same song and killed it...she sounds way better than cassie...and actually goes with the beat!!! if this gets play its because of lil wayne...check out karina's version on youtube...:-)

Cassie is fine, but her voice is extreemly light. She sounds like a high schooler in a play or something. Radio Disney type voice. This song probley does sound better sung by a stronger voice. Wanye sounds like he's clowin on this one. Wayne sounds different on alotta songs. as if he has split personalitys. The dude is sick.

sad..i heard Karina Pasian sing this jam and i'm sorry I luv Cassie (rate 3 for vocals) but Karina killed it in her version (that wod have put this track on a 4 for sure) ..as per BDF44 Casssie vocals bit overwhelmed by the production ... Karina just sounded stronger.. Danja n The Clutch r awesome on dis - so respectfully worth a 4..

There's just a lack of substance behind the concept of the song and she just doesn't seem like she is absolutely sold on the concept; nor is she a great singer.
Wayne should've stayed off this one but his verse was the best part of the entire song (until he hit up the Auto-Tune at the end). |

The production is definitely too much for Cassie's voice. Wayne's verse was ok, but I'm tired of hearing him at the present moment. They should probably try a remix that compliments her vocals a bit more. 3 stars~(**)~

I would give this 1 star but the beat is dope, Thank you Danja! However this is WEAK songwriting! Too many words crammed in one sentence, no structure, no flow, The chorus is okay but you cant even enjoy it cuz the verse throws you off track! BTW, Weezy can't save everything!

I remember I didn't like the first edit...I used to like the production but not the hook and the verses! This remix is better, I'm really feeling the production, again. But I still don't like the melody, it sounds too confused... I can't remember it! Cassie sounds decent (and this is strange), Wayne's part is useless. It's in rotation

the beat is weird .. i had to turn it up really loud to figure out the flow .. but the more i listen to it the smoother it gets ... so i like the joint! .. its koo ... i love wayne .. but he sounds weird when he 1st comes in .. Some minutes ago I rated the original version again...months ago I gave the original version 2 stars, then I listened to this version and I realised it was identical to the previous one, only with Wayne's verse added! The more I listen to this track, the more I like it...that's why to me it has become a banger and it's a banger also without lil Wayne!
