A year after the arrival of his last Booth feature, Bigga Than Me, Ca$his’ situation is, well, pretty much the same: the up-and-comer remains as loyal to Shady Records as ever despite being no closer to dropping an album than he was 12 months ago. How has the Chicago-born, Cali-based emcee managed to stay patient and calm through it all? A likely answer can be deduced from the artist’s latest track, Smoke Session. One of three Rikanatti-produced joints to hit the ‘net today, this cut finds the beatsmith serving up a sampled instrumental drenched in soulful vocal harmonies as the artist paints a lyrical portrait of the good life – a good life made even better by the easy availability of “medical” kush in Cash’s state of residence. So, readers, are you gonna flip this one on during your next Smoking Session (or, uh, “relaxation session,” for those who don’t partake)? Those digging it should stay tuned to the Booth; while it has yet to be announced whether this laid-back track will appear on any forthcoming project, we’ll keep you posted on Ca$his’ plans as details surface.

Soul-sampled production can be an artist' best friend or his worst enemy. No matter what you do over the top of the beat, there is no denying the catchiness of a soul sample (right, Aretha?)

In order to make it sound good you need to let the track breathe and not try to overpower the boardwork (which quite obviously makes it sound like you are trying to do too much). Thankfully, that isn't the case here. Kudos to Ca$his and Rikanatti for putting in a solid effort.

Yea...the production might be a little overkill. It starts to make you wonder if his voice really isn't that good...

Not many rappers could handle this beat, and Cashis is one of them. Poor show.

Can't accurately rate the song because the verse is so cluttered. The hook was sorta understandable. I got bits and pieces here and there of his ability. Its not a bad vocal, but not a good choice of beats. Not a bad beat, just not for him.

Damn, I honestly kind of forgot this dude existed. In the past two years the stoner rap game has exploded (Cudi, Khalifa, Currensy) and while this beat is great, I feel like Cash gets drowned out by it a bit.

Just read Ghouse's comment, yep, great minds think alike.

Simplify this a bit and you could have something truly dope.

I don't mind the track, but the production is overbearing compared to his vocals. Some more intensity may have helped the situation.

Sorry Ca$his gonna have to agree with the booth, I think that if you sped up your flow in places and with a lil help on the beat to suit your flow you would hava hit, like this though? It's just all over the place :(
