Capone-n-Noreaga (CNN for short) have been on the brink of blowing up for what seems like their entire career. However, despite the hype they’ve generated throughout the years, they’ve never been able to take that next step into the elite ranks of hip-hop duos like Mobb Deep and the Clipse. Thus, they have finally adopted the classic mantra of ‘when all else fails, role up your sleeves, put your hardest thug face on, and try to sound as badass as is humanly possible.’ Their new single, Follow the Dollar is as grimy as it gets. The Queensbridge emcees trade street reports back and forth over a subterranean, laser-infused Alchemist beat that makes the Neptunes’ grittiest work sound like Beethoven. Seriously, it’s terrifying. The track will appear on their upcoming reunion album, Channel 10 (out October 21).

Crazy beat from Alchemist. I have really liked what CNN has thrown out there lately. The beat is just sooo hard, my only regret is that it wasnt given to an artist with a deeper voice to fit the kind of song it is. Still a Banger though. If their October release holds steady, than this may be the song to get them some cash.

Wow. This is something else--beat is SILLY. Capone voice doesn't fit this dark-clashy-beat; otherwise, this is money in bank (hopefully collecting interest).

Get this Fruity Loops pre-made production out of here. CNN had a narcoleptic flow on this joint. Put me right to sleep. The hottest part was the sample that said "What do we get for ten dollars?".

beat is HOT, it's different, it's just fresh. CNN came good. so what if its Fruity Loops?! it doesnt matter how Alch did the beat, if its hot then its hot

But that's the problem...it's not hot. Nothing hot about it at all....so it doesn't matter if Alchemist did the beat on Fruity Loops or higher quality equipment...if it's not hot, it's not hot.

MH, whats up with calling Alchemist's production "Fruity Loops pre-made production." I think the production is the best part of this record. The guys come through and do their thing, but we've heard the same before. The beat, on the other hand, is real real hot.
