When her man isn’t treating her right, a girl might get sick and tired. No problem, after she dumps him she’ll just get another guy, right? Obviously, whoever has been seeing the ladies of Candy Hill didn’t get the memo, since their girls have gone back to their exes as a Spare. While some listeners might find the concept hard to grasp, the quality old-school production work (demonstrated earlier on Juicy) by Prettyboy & Bradd will have you thinking Same Girl. Young females and nostalgia aficionados will be requesting Spare in droves; something tells me we might hear a “male version” in the near future.
why do most of these girl group sound the same...Cherish, DK, n now these girls. to make a successful girl group you need unique voices like Destiny Child, & TLC. (beyonce, t-boz) but the song concept is different so i give dem props on that, overall its alright.
Tankhead: Not every female group can be like Destiny's Child. Groups with that type of caliber appear once every ten years. Candy Hill did a nice job with this record, they harmonize smoothly and they even got one of the girls to spit a rhyme for the second verse.
AMen DJ Z, The Hip-Hop/RB game needs to see these girls mature. Prettyboy & Bradd did their thing too, all of thier shit has been pretty good that i have heard.
Yes Destiny's Child were unique but you are forgetting that Beyonce did right a lot of the songs herself so that added to their uniqueness and don't forget that a lot of these new girl groups are not writing their own material so everything is bound to sound the same.
Not every1 can be like Destiny's Child? Dont get me wrong because I am a big DC fan...but Kelly and Beyonce's voices were kind of similar. I personally couldnt tell who was singin what unless there was a video at times. Now in TLC u had three girls with three diffrent voices. I think dat if Lefteye was still alive today, TLC would still be on top
