Since he released Killa Season in May of ‘06, Cam’ron has been in and out of our lives. Popping up occasionally with a brand new record, the Harlem native has mostly stayed quiet following last year’s silly rap beef with 50 Cent. Over the production expertise of Kanye West and Deezle’s Let The Beat Build (from Lil’ Wayne’s platinum-plus certified Tha Carter III), however, Killa has dropped by our Booth for a cameo appearance. Freestyling about getting rich (not sure how he came up with that ingenious concept), Cam gets bonus points for rapping over a Wayne track that is not A Milli. Signed by SRC after being dropped by Asylum, Cam’s next studio album is expected sometime in early 2009.
So Cam'ron isn’t' dead huh?!!! Okay. That's what's up. "Pass the brandy brother, I'm Ray J". I like this version way better than Weezy's version. I'm sorry. I know I will get criticized for stating that, but I never liked Wayne's version when I first heard it and was disappointed because I hoped a Kanye West produced track would be hot. This is real good from Cam though. I'll throw it into rotation.
I kinda think this beat was made more for Cam than weezy. Weezys version annoys the hell outta me, but this one kinda sounds natural. I'm not a fan of cam , but this is all him right here.
Cam's an animal..cam is one of the greatest rappers; he has brought more MC into the game than anyone:Big l, mase, Jim Jones, Dame dash, Julez Santana and all of dipset
I was about 2 talk reckless about Cam. He did his thing on this beat. But i am gon talk reckless about the dumbasses who said Wayne did this beat no justice.. Opinions are like assholes but people on DJBooth are so contradicting.
Ima give Cam a 4 since i aint heard him in a 3 yrs..
THIS IS SICK CLASSIC CAM RIGHT HERE!!! If you aren't a real true to life CAM fan, then this won't be hot to you...But if you are like me and you was all into dipset from like 2001 to 2006, then this is HOT $HIT! CERTIFIED DJ BLAZE BANGER!
he's...he's...he's ALIVE???????? are u serious?!? LOL! exactly, why jim jones (da capo) is now the general of the dips...cam fell off to foot soldier status!
I agree with Blaze. Now i wasnt, nor am i now, all into dipset; but SDE is definitely a classic album as far as im concerned. Give the man a little respect, he handles his own on this track. like michaelhannah said above, i like this better than Wayne's.
