With the release date of Camp Lo‘s fourth studio album still TBA, fans of the duo can only guess when they’ll finally get A Piece of the Action. On the bright side, though, Sonny Cheeba and Geechi Suede have given us a little something to enjoy in the meantime: Stone & Rob: Caught on Tape. On Regulate, a newly-released record off the official pre-album mixtape, Brooklyn hook singer Yazarah takes the opportunity to hip listeners of the female persuasion to the duo’s legendary ladykilling prowess. Apple Juice Kid and Rob Chaseman serve up a head-bobbing funk instrumental as Sonny and Geechi spit slangy lyrical gems like, “She get down with the get-down in Madison Square/ She’s not a square now/ She like the way I strangle her triangular.” Even if you don’t know exactly what that means (I sure don’t), you have to admit that, after more than 10 years in the game, Camp Lo are still as hip as ever.

This was pretty enjoyable. The Apple Juice production was pretty flame. It's in the rotation, good stuff.

I didnt really know what to say about this, but I know I can't rate it less than a 3. It aint bad at all, its just strange. The production gives it sort of a funk vibe, i guess, and thats cool. The vocalist on the hook gives the track a bit of a Macy Gray vibe, and Camp Lo did their thing to keep wit the vibe on the production.

The funk feel is pretty nice but the lyrics are pretty dull. Im definitely feeling the hook it sounds nice. Decent song

Big Camp Lo fan myself - I am bias - so this was a real nice treat on the ears. A large part of that enjoyment is due to the excellent work behind the boards by AJK and Mr. Chaseman. Honestly, its different; these days, that works in my book.
@that1kid13 - I gots some goodies that will be spread out through the whole week! |

When the song first started out, I heard a whole lot of potential, then the beat actually dropped and the potential was all but lost (until the chorus that is...) I'm not feeling Camp Lo and I never have. They just sound really old school, and I am not an old school fan...sorry. I was listening to MJ back then! But they do get an "A" for effort and a sick intro/chorus!

Im a fan of Camp Lo, so I was excited to see this up. :D The production is great IMO, and I think both Cheeba and Suede do their things on this. While not entirely a great track, its got a good vibe to it. I think Im going to give this a banger rating, because despite this being an ok track overall, it did scratch that Camp Lo itch I've been having for a while now.

I really like this one right here. Diggin the production, which I think is the highlight here. I'm a sucker for that funky old school vibe.

this is alright, pretty tight production, a fun son, just a little too much noise in this track during the verses

The chorus NICE, First verse NO, second verse YES. For some reason I think if the verses went better with the chorus it would have been much nicer to listen to they just didn't keep that vibe the chorus had.

I'm suprised at the mixed review this got... i rather enjoyed this track... and when i say rather it was VERY catchy... the hook made the song for me with the so called 'funk' flow... howeva the lyrics aren't at par with the song style... i was just needin a lil more outta Suede and Cheeba.

I always liked what Camp Lo had to offer, always fresh and unique. They were the shit back in the day, they had all the buzz, then they just kinda fell off. I fear they took too long of a break and probably won't get that piece of the action.
