Camar - Ride
Artist: Camar
Producer: CP Hollywood
Album: Yard Soul (No Release Date)
Label: Slip N Slide Records
It’s been over six months since R&B/dancehall up-and-comer Camar‘s Booth-approved second single, She Love Me Luv, hit our front page—what’s changed since? Well, not a whole lot; debut LP Yard Soul still has yet to receive a solid release date from the Slip-n-Slide Records brass, but, if this new single is any indication, Cam’s love life is as bangin’ as ever. Over CP Hollywood‘s body-moving synth backdrop, the singer pays tribute to a shorty who really knows how to Ride (like she on a bike!), delivering all the salacious details as he drifts in and out of his trademark Caribbean accent. With an upbeat groove, steamy subject matter, and plenty of pumped-up, high-volume ad-libs from fellow Florida resident DJ Rhymer, Ride has all the makings of a reggae-flavored club hit, but does it have what it takes to get Yard Soul onto store shelves before summer’s come and gone? Only time will tell, but a few rave Booth reviews certainly wouldn’t hurt Camar’s prospects.

The clubs are going to LOVE this one. Its high energy, fun, and has the high BPM counter to please DJs looking to mix this in and not lose a step...
I'd like to hear this YARD, Camar. Do me a favor and work this work hard... |

lol. kinda freaky.. haha.
but this sounds like another simple formula for a quick hit. unfortunately i just dont like anyone's voice except at 1:46. that verse was HOT just not good enough to say this goes in rotation. |

The energy alone on this song makes it in rotation for me. The production is simple and Camar sounds pretty good. DJ Rhymer helps a little bit with the ad libs. Nice club hit for sure!

WOW! If this is a 3* joint, then dat J.Money's song deserves this ranking as well ... so what if this is a lil fast-paced track ...
I wasn't feeling the overall vibe of the track ... |

Liked the song, but some of the lyrics were a little corny.

This is cool, but definitely nothing out of the ordinary. Cookie-cutter hook, decent vocals, and common production work.

humm! definitely club material not sure about radio...the edited version would diminish the message of the song.
