There may not be any wizards’ academies in South Central Los Angeles, but Booth newcomer C. Hutch did manage to pick up a little Avenue Magic during his time in the mean streets. What type of spells does he have up his sleeve, you may ask? As Hutch explains on this newly-leaked mixtape cut, he’s got quite a few enviable powers: he can make cash appear out of thin air, he can gain respect with a wave of his hand, he can even hustle in his sleep! On top of all that, he’s got some impressive multitasking abilities—in addition to showcasing his skills on the mic with three verses’ worth of punchline-laced braggadocio, he steps behind the boards to deliver chopped-sample instrumental whose leisurely rhythm couldn’t be better matched to his swagger-drenched flow. C. Oddly boring. Nothing new or different here, but managed to listen to it all. The production is alright, but the artist was really predictable and lyrics were below average.

C hutch is reping the west. We are making a push again and I'm loving it. I like the beat switch midway through the song. Hutch can rap without question. I gotta admit maybe I'm bias I am from LA. Ya know... *4 fingers up 2 twisted in the middle*

Yeah I see what you're saying CB. Over the course of the song it just got so boring. Production was OK but I think it needed another element to take it to the next level. Rapping was only OK, nothing that stood out. I wouldn't call it garbage but this is nothing I will listen to again.

The beat is inoffensive, but also suffers from lacking a sizzle that takes it to another level. Lyrics although delievered nicely are nuthin better than average... with few good lines here n there. Overall, Average track, dying to be more than it is... |

I've played this record on repeat this week. He isn't saying anything new - really - but, his delivery and the beat are enjoyable. Our staff gave this the thumbs up and I am going to back them.
