“Wait! Stop the party! I don’t wanna hurt nobody!” The first words blared out by Swizz Beatz on Busta Rhymes’ new single Stop the Party had me hyped for a few reasons. First, it’s Busta’s new single! Second, Busta and Swizz Beatz go together like peanut butter and pancakes; a mixture that isn’t the norm, yet tastes delicious (don’t judge). Lastly, I had heard Stop the Party was on the Iron Man soundtrack, but luckily it was just a rumor. While Busta’s new joint is inspired by the movie, it’s actually set to be on his untitled, unscheduled new album. Swizzy produced the record, and as mentioned before, does the hook as well. For his part, Busta - as always - hits us with a verbal attack, lyrically spinal tapping us with his fierce delivery. Upon hearing the single’s distorted vocals and robotic drums, I envisioned Godzilla and King Kong having a dance off, and we all know Godzilla would bring down the house, literally, when he busted out “The Worm.” Will Busta bring down the DJBooth too? We’ll find out soon.

After the disappointment of Busta's last album, just about anything new (different) would have been received fairly from by my eardrums... and "Stop the Party" does just that.
Swizzy and Busta tag team for a genuinely catchy club record, which finds Busta doing what he does best - rapping with high energy instead of putting us to sleep over minimalistic production. When Busta is awake, so am I.

I have to admit, while I am not a big fan of either Busta or Swizz, these two make good songs together. Stop the Party was a breath of fresh air for me. Busta sounded pretty good, Swizz although annoying because of the interludes, was a nice addition as far as production goes.
This song for me succeeds as far as verses and production goes, but Swizz really ruined it for me as a guest feature. Busta alone would have been off. Not bad. 2.5 |

Busta is a legend, he has so many hits its not even funny. "Stop The Party" isnt the best Busta record, but hopefully it will get him a release date.
This actually reminds me alot of Arab Money, especially the chorus. 3 stars |

After Busta killed it on Khaled's All We Do is Win Remix, I was hoping this track wouldn't be a bust (excuse the pun.) I think Busta delivers something solid but doesn't move me like Khaled's remix. The track altogether is a little too all over the place for me. Swizz's echoing over the stopped beat KILLS the song for me. The beat itself is amazing and Swizz doesn't disappoint on that end.
Also, what's the Iron Man theme besides the intro? Does Iron Man stop parties?? Does he point out money making laughing people at these parties? Please tell me that this Iron Man theme runs futher into his album and not just this single. Swizz should have just stuck to beat making and should have left the chorus to Busta over a continuous beat. I can't imagine being at a club and dancing to this song and having to stop every time the chorus drops because the beat drops with it. I wish we could give half stars because this deserves a 2.5 but I'll settle for a rotation because its just above an OK rating for me. |

Its ok, though It definately dosnt compare to his past hits. The productions alright from Swizzy (though ive heard better from him). Busta sounded good, though he's still no where near his best

This song lacks any depth but it makes for a great club record. The pauses in between the songs and the catchy beat make it a perfect club song. Busta Rhymes has shown from recent songs that his voice and lyrics are perfect for these up-tempo songs. OK song but I probably won't listen to it again. Just being honest.

What happened to Busta? I gotta go with Mr. Top Hat here, I don't know what record Z's listening to. This is basically "Arab Money" part 2. Swizz makes the same beat he's made 492 times before, and Busta drops another lazy flow. Remember when he was sickest, most energetic man in rap? Damn that seems like a lifetime ago.

I still have a bad taste in my mouth from BOMB which was just awful in too many ways to express. After hearing Busta on the "All I Do Is Win" remix, I had hope that he was getting back to the style that made him the hip hop icon in the first place.
While this isn't quite there yet, it definitely is a step in the right direction. "Stop the Party" has lots of club appeal and is a body mover. Swizzy does a good job on the hook but does an even better job on the board. So while this isn't quite where I hope Busta would be heading after BOMB, it is good to hear a decent song from him. So when should we be expecting the 4 remixes for this? |

The production is way too repetitive, especially when Swizz Beatz talks/interrupts every 20 seconds. The only positive aspect is hearing Busta back to his old form.

I gotta disagree with Ivan and say that Busta and Swizz don't mix at all, atleast on this track. Really not enjoyin this at all, beat drops are way to frequent, and sometimes just annoying. I hope the albums better.

Definitely ready for the summer with this one bust. His verses are sick and the beat is great. Not feeling the Swizz interludes but he's been doing it his whole career so I'm cool with it. Busta is always welcome to my party.

This won't hit in the club without major drum machine backing. I can't catch on with a track that stops after 8 bars and talks acapella. Busta had good mini verses, but the track as a whole was garbage.

Ehhhh I'm not a Swizz Beatz fan at all, and I heard through the rumor mill awhile back that this was gonna be on the Iron Man 2 soundtrack [Always a recipe for disaster] so I wasn't really expecting much. This is just about what I expected. Bussa Buss has seen better days. Borderline rotation.

Straight trash. Busta held back A LOT if this was his re-introduction to his old self again. The edits were horrible, the hook, if there was any with that annoying sample was.....annoying to say the least. Swizz didn't even try on this one.

Not sure what to think of this.. it's catchy I'll give the man that, but people are right it's like an arab money pt.2 yet ALOT less annoying, nontheless with a lil work this track could be club material. I'm with Z on this as in this has pitential but then I do miss the old Busta, best I heard him late was on Royce's 'Dinner Time'
