Busta Rhymes - Hustlers Anthem 2009 ft. T-Pain

Though we’re only halfway through the first month of the new year, Busta Rhymes has already taken a stab at creating a Hustlers Anthem 2009. On Rhymes’ latest single selection, the emcee teams up with T-Pain to create a record dedicated to everyone who’s working hard to get that paper. The Auto-Tuned hook is certainly nothing new, but Pain sounds better than ever thanks to a hard-hitting bassline by Ty Fyffe, whose funk-influenced beat adds energy to the mid-tempo cut. Unfortunately for those hoping to hear Busta flex his full-tilt flow, he keeps things relatively sedate here, though recently-featured album cut Blown offered plenty of evidence that he hasn’t abandoned his speed-rap roots. At the end of the day, this single may not achieve anthem status, but it should have hustlers nationwide running to their local record shops on March 24th, when Busta finally drops the B.O.M.B.

Seems sweet it's the Throwback and T-pain is always a handsome touch. I'm lovin the chorus. I'm excited for the remix.

Wow I'm glad he didn't make another Arab Money remix haha. Anyway, T-Pain didn't really sound good to me on this one- he sounded plain and really bored me. Busta needs to do something different- he always sounds the same...I dunno, I'm kinda sick of him- needs to do something else...he used to be really good and make bangers....but now?...nope. It's a 2.

The auto-tune is done in such a way that it reminds me of ARAB money but overall its nuffin I'd bump to but itz iight.

I love old-school Busta - and I will tell him that when he joins me in the Booth next month - but this AIN'T NO ANTHEM.
This would have been a 4-star if he didn't use the word ANTHEM in the title. Since he did, and this is not, its a 3.

Listen to this song with headphones, and preferably high, because the beat is extremely complex and I could see how many people wouldnt notice it playing it on computer speakers or something. This is the best performance by tpayne in any song.

The beat sounded good at first, but then it started getting a lil' boring. T-Pain brings his usual energy to the track. I can deal with a brief snippet of this joint in a club, but I'ma wait on the remix. Something tells me a lot of hot artists aren't going to let a song called "Husteler's Anthem" be represented by just T-Pain and Busta, lettin go by without putting thier shine on it. Nah! I can see a tite remix to this. Until then, its just OK.
