Similar to NFL players, whose careers, on average, last only three seasons, most professional rappers are unable to maintain longevity in their industry. The legendary Busta Rhymes is a shining example of a rapper who has bucked this trend. Rhymes has been on top of his game since he released his debut, The Coming, in March of 1996, and he is now excitedly awaiting the release of his appropriately-titled eighth studio album, Blessed. On the newly-leaked record, Throw It Up, Rhymes calls-in favors to past collaborators Ludacris and Lil’ Wayne, and all three artists rhyme over a heavily-synthesized Cool & Dre production. Despite being delayed because of sample clearance issues, Blessed is set to drop later this summer.
Note: The streaming of “Throw It Up” has temporarily been suspended.
Listen to Busta Rhymes's Throw It Up ft. Lil' Wayne & Ludacris
Lil Wayne seems to be on every track that hits the street. I'm starting to get tired of his voice personally...Busta on one hand is coming with fire lately first a Collabo with Linkin Park and now this with Luda and Weezy...He's coming with it but will need to bring more if he wants to go multi-platinum...
This production is decent. I'm tired of Lil Wayne. I'm sorry. I'm not feeling him anymore. Ludacris had a fresh verse. It's always good to hear him. I'm not feeling Busta Rhymes anymore either. Hip Hop is just disappointing me in general right now...so IDK. This song isn't about anything.
I dig this! Three of my fav MC's goin at it! I gotta agree to a certain extent with MH when he said this is about nothin, but who cares! The beat is fire, the delivery is sick from them all. This song is just fun and thats what is needed at times. I think this will be a good album track. I don't know if it is a radio banger but deffinatly somethin I can play a bucha times.
Though I agree that lil wayne is being over used, I really like the lyrics he tossed out. Actually, all 3 artists on this track had some interesting verses.
the beat seem like it was made in a rush or something... its not all that... i was expecting a banger from cool & dre. lil wayne wasnt necessary on this track... rarely does lil wayne outdo luda on a feature, 'cause luda murdered the track. busta has always been crazy, but he was spittin some other '2 thumbs down' ish on this joint. 1st and last listen... maybe repeat for the 1st 2 verses...
=)
I'm feeling the beat but honestly in this song they are all wack! Don't like their flows, sorry...less than nothing Wayne, but I've never been mad for Busta, too! Luda is the more decent here
Cool & Dre beat is cool. For a song with Wayne and Luda on it I was expecting a lot better, this didn't meet the all star expectations. All this did for me was get me ready for Luda's new album (!!!) and convince me not to pick up Busta's new album.
This is a good track. Cool & Dre did there thing with the beat. Luda absolutely killed this. Wayne was alright. Scoo nu nu nu nu ba ba be. Hottest line of 2008 haha
THIS SONG IS INSANE...THIS A IS A NICE COLLABO,WITH A NICE BEAT,AND THE THREE ILLEST LYRICISTS OF OUR TIME..I LOVE IT..AND THERE AIN'T A WHOLE LOT OF SONGS I LIKE...
Luda absolutely KILLED this track. Man, we need some more Luda verses like this. Busta and Wayne did it justice as well.. can't WAIT for more Busta material in the future and the new LP!
This is pretty nice. I think that Luda is the highlight of the song. He has some lyrical skill. Busta and wayne are good on here too. The beat isnt really anything special.
i thought the beat was pretty good actually, not the full potential of cool&dre for sure but still nice. ludacris always comes with so much energy and has a great voice to me, combined with interesting metaphors it really saves this song from being mediocre. This song will most likely get airtime cause of wayne...which is pathetic cause wayne is overrated and monotone, busta bust coulda gone way harder, i know he'll pull through on "blessed" though.
barely a banger...
i think this song coulda went witout weezy's weak verse...cool & dre delivered on the beat not their typical style...hook is nice...luda is nice on this!!! busta is a legend...he never fails to deliver!!! worth the listen...
beat might not be hard enough for a hit...but the list of features would make u think otherwise...weezy goes in, luda is more straight fire, busta bus is wilin on this track
This is some real hot production from cool and dre... somethin a lil different. I agree some of the folks above me when they say that their tired of wayne's voice... But the industry is always hungry for the hottest artist to sing or rap on their tracks. They think that it might sell more. It works......... and sometimes it doesnt. Wayne has been slackin lately, but he brought his self back up a notch. Luda has been on top for a while. If u disagree u disagrein with facts. right now he's the hottest alive. HE Proves it in this one verse. As far as busta goes.........> but its all good because overall its a hot song. Especially when you put the two hottest MC's in the game on the same track(Im So Hood Remix) and a couple others are unrealeased yet. So..... That Concludes this review...... ITS A BANGA
WOW this is straight fire! Wayne KILLS, Luda from his early days is back, and Busta did his thang. When you say you tired of hearin someone in every song and that's why you don't like it you bein the def of hatin.
Wayne and Luda came correct...had some solid verses...Busta could have came harder. Beat wasn't too crazy but that was a good thing since it emphasized their lyrics.
Cool and Dre straight MURDERED This beat! SICK! Busta is so forgotten and under-rated that its not even funny! He is one of the top 10 of all time EASILY! Lil Wayne Rips the $hit out of this beat...AND BUSTA just provides the Exclamation point! Luda kills it too! GREAT TRACK!
Okay we really need to keep PattyPatty85 away from songs that aren't meant for the club. But anyways. Why everyone keep talking about Wayne when this isn't his song? He is just a feature..leave the boy alone. But Cool & Dre keep working their magic and keep dishing out tight beats and production. Busta comes at it hard. I just don't know about his flow sometimes. Luda brings a tight verse and Wayne puts you on a diet. This is real close to a classic but part of the chorus makes it a BANGER
i aint tired of lil wayne!.....@ least,....no yet. he did hiz thang on here- but i aint feel-n busta anymore- avent heard anything ugd frum him in a while....but yeah, luda haz dun a lota gud music and drop-d alota SICK versez (remember in da im so hood remix- yeah, great example of SICK!) OK i still think itza BANGA cuz: busta getz a star, Weezy getz a sta,r and luda getz 2:)
3 of the best in the game on 1 track its deffinatly fire. dont be hattin on busta he still spitz just as he did befor. and you can never get sick of wayne. and luda always brings it hot
