One of the many things that Bun B is quick to display in his work is a representation and loyalty to the Dirty South. Knowing that he and many of his popular industry-mates are products of their environment, the Port Arthur, Texas native assembles a few of his fellow Southerners for an ode to their native region, entitled You’re Everything. While certain aspects of Port Arthur may be different from Miami (Rick Ross), Mississippi (David Banner), and Memphis (8Ball & MJG), the Southern influence and way of life brings all four heavyweights together (with a little help from Mr. Lee‘s production). For more bangers straight from this artist’s heart, Bun B’s sophomore album, II Trill, hits stores and online retailers this upcoming Tuesday, May 20.
Listen to Bun B's You're Everything ft. Rick Ross, David Banner, 8Ball & MJG More songs from Bun B
Bun B is one of the most under rated rappers in the game...his album will be CLASSIC and this song is a BANGER...the beat is simple but sick at the same time...and the recruiting list is good southern rap...good work by a legend...way better than the joint Damn I'm cold with Lil Wayne
I have been loving everything Bun B has put out with lately, but this is a downgrade. This song is hot, dont get me wrong, but this song has too many features, and the beat is not as good as his other new stuff. Still good though.
normally im a big fan of Bun B, but i didnt like his verse on this song.. rick ross' flow was nothing new but it suited the beat which was sick btw.. and three6 was the best on here in my opinion.. its average all around
I have a lot of respect for Bun B. After everything that has happened with Pimp C (RIP) and the constant bashing of Southern hip-hop, he still continues to deliver his signature sound which got him to where he is today. The chemistry of all the artists on this track is simply perfection. Not one individual verse steals the show. They all feed off of each other's energy which ultimately strengthens the song. Even though Bun B primarily focuses on TX culture in his songs, listeners are still able to relate to the local color message no matter where they reside. I can't wait for this album.
The Jodeci touch is so unexpected on a heavy hitter track. The beat is superb. The production by Mr. Lee deserves it's recognition. Every performer have a different background for their verse. Another OFFICIAL SLAMMER!!! I think Bun B has something in store for this upcoming album. I have been impressed by the featured songs on the Booth.
So, "II Trill" leaked. I didn't doubt Bun at all, and I'm sure most of us won't be surprised when they listen to it that it's a dope album. Bun B will rep UGK and Pimp C (R.I.P.) to his own death, and even then, his and Pimp's spirit will live on and UGK won't be forgotten. So! May 20th! Get out and cop it, I know I will. LEGENDS!
Bun B always comes hard, no doubt. One of best rappers in the south. Been down since UGK's album Ridin Dirty. Cant wait for Bun's new album. Track was excellent.
wow...really.f'real did i just listen to that @*#$!.classic.period.this is a southern classic and Bun B is a livin' legend. this is hall of fame @*#$!. retire the number.
some outkast woulda made it even better. plus some scarface.nah actually they shoulda just made this song like 7 and sum minutes long and they shoulda just throw all the dirty south legends past and present (that can rap) on the track. heres who all should be on it.every 1 whose already on it plus a deeper verse from weezy without the vocorder, outkast, t.i., 3-6 mafia, luda, and just to spin it up throw some trey songz on there kuz the bwoi is a livin legend in the r&b game even tho hes crazy underplayed and underrated. i would pay alot of money to see that collabo.trick daddy could jump on there too. i damn near get chills thinkin' about a song like that. i can dream right.
I think he could have picked better rappers buth this still is a great song and this jawn has a nice song to it and it really talks about the south good
Because it’s called Tha Carter III BODYSHOCK, no doubt about that. The Drought Is Over 5 (Grand Closing) is part of the mixtape series, not an album! There’s Tha Carter, Tha Carter II and the III is yet to come (if ever) on June 10.
Sounds like I've got a date with Best Buy next Tuesday! I'll be "ridin' dirty" on my way to pick up II Trill, haha. I've heard 3 songs (Thats Gangsta, Damn I'm Cold, and now You're Everything) from the album, and not a one of them disappoints!!!
This track is HOT! Everything that Bun B has touched since the last year has been FIRE! This is a sick track with all the good artists reppin on here! This is a Certified DJ BLAZE BANGER!
FIRE..Banner should have had a longer verse...He shows you how to work this beat...But all and all everybody held there own on here...AND I MUST SAY THIS BEAT IS FUNKY AS H E L L!!!! Yeah I will be hitting Best Buy too mmoore1127
I was looking for this song online and I found his whole album!!! I must say it's quite something and I'm definately gonna get it when it comes out. Every song on his new album is a hit!
Im not gonna hate \, but ima def voice my opinion, ida beat is rit but, bun b 2 me is weak, he raps da sam every time i hear him, its gettin old, switch up ya style B
No one pay attention to BODYSHOCK he has always got something to say, and everytime he is wrong haha, and whoever said Bun's album is gonna do better than tha Carter III your out of your mind.
man this track is crazy. just the point of how wild the sample of cry for you from jodeci is off the meat rack. then the ft. artist just kill it with the vocals. only thing missing is chad (pimp C).
