Tuesday evening, all eyes will be affixed to the television screen for Election Night ’08. While DJBooth will be reporting from the Chicago Hard Rock Café, which is holding the Common and Talib Kweli-hosted Get Presidential: The Election Results Watch Event, Bun B and his Houston cohorts are hoping to celebrate in their native city once Barack Obama has been named next President of the United States of America. Leading up to the big day, the H-Town representative and his friends Chamillionaire, Paul Wall, Trae, and newcomer artist/producer Cory Mo, have released the supportive new ode, Obama ’08, which is produced by Miami’s Blackout. No matter who you are voting for, however, please don’t forget to make your voice heard at the polls on Tuesday.

I'm tired of politics infused music... lol. i respect their dedication but honestly I enjoy other subject matter. I also don't really feel like it's much of a race anymore, which does not make me any more inclined to enjoy this song lol

i'm glad a lot of rappers are supporting Barack Obama, I voted Obama... this is the first song that did the vote message coreectly. This song tell you to vote Obama instead of already saying Obama is the first black president. All the other songs will be laughed at if Obama loses. But this song was done nicely and juwt stating who to vote for and why. All the rappers did well by the way.

No doubting that this song has a positive message, and I agree with Cham Parker, I really am glad that this song went deeper than saying my president is black. Bottom line is that this one has a strong message, but not a bangin beat. 3/5

Aspiring dj, I can't really concur with you. I commend all rappers doing this instead of some of the other "crap" they can be talking about. Bun B snapped real nicely on this. An H-Town All-Stars anthem was so dope. Chamillionaire snapped as well "VOTE OBAMA MAYNE!". LOL. I JUST HEARD THE MOST INTELLIGENT VERSE FROM PAUL WALL EVER. Trae sounded like Satan. LOL. I swear, he sounded like Lupe's song "Put You On Game"!! But this joint was mad hot! On November 4th, I'm gon have me a mix of Obama hip hop songs to play all day. This is going to the topo f the list!

Everyone went hard on this track plain and simple...PAUL WALL actually had some lyrics for once...and CORY MO did his thang too...TRAE I could barely understand but he still went hard....and BUN B and CHAMILLIONAIRE just absolutely beasted on the track as they most always do...and the beat was pretty nice too kinda has a little rock influence to it...

This is where mainstream hip hop needs to be. Lets not alow record companys to dictate what we speak of. Artist demand full creative support or don't sign. Hip hop is alive and kickin. This is needed to keep it that way.

This song has a great political message, but im getting tired of politically inspired songs, although i don't DISAGREE with some of them, i still get tired of hearing the same message, i dont like Obama or McCain either one, and im not old enough to vote, so theres no point at all for me anyway lol.

I'm not American and even though the election will affect the whole world I'm not so directly involved, we in Italy have our governors...so I won't rate, also because I'd have to look for the lyrics coz they're important here (I understand something, for example it's time to change)!
