Don’t let his name fool you; Bullet is by no means a “gangsta rapper.” Call him a “hipster emcee” if you’d like (joining current trendsetters The Cool Kids and Mickey Factz), but this Chicago native merely wants to bring hip hop Back to the Lyrics. Thanks to countless similes and a crazy artistic flow, the album’s first single, Get It, might be the indicator that Bullet is ready to shoot. Joining forces to show their hometown is united; Cool Kids member Chuck Inglish provides his seal of approval with contributions on the beat and intro/outro vocals. While underground/indie hip-hop fans will undoubtedly be all over Get It, even those who complain that this is “not (their) type of music” will most likely respect Bullet’s skills. Back to the Lyrics is set to drop on July 29.
This beat is BANANAS! Inglish has some quality skills behind the board and Bullet has some room to grow, but shows lots of promise. Crank up the volume on your speakers Matthew...
Beat was decent from Chucky. No wait, I take that back. It just came in fully. It's nuts! Bullet's flow is decent, but I agree with cb126405, "It's just ok, but nothing too special". The hook is tight though. This should do well in the club or just for the hip hop kids era. Swagger is mad up on it. I'll actually give this 4, cuz I'm starting to like it more as I hear it.
This track is nicely layered. It takes you for a roller-coaster ride. I can definitely bounce to this tune. Don't just listen to the first 30 seconds of the song 'cause it picks up--trust me!
I find it very hard to appreciate these simplistic beats with no deep musical influences. The rhythm is tight but how uncreative can producers get these days? The lyrics are alright, nothing below the surface.
Cool Kids are killin with the beats, this hipster shit rockin right now. Bullet has one one of those tones that I can't feel, He switched it up right b4 I commited to turning it off, then he started up again. Damn and I like this beat too. He like Shady and kanye mixed with someone I don't like.
"killin 'em quietly" lmao. I say what we need is more cowbell! lol- seriously this is a great song. the beat is so sick that I didn't really listen to the lyrics
Definitely feelin the heavy bassline and this beat is dope. Not feelin Bullet. I don't think I like his voice. I like the chorus. I think this could be a summer hit if it was done by a bigger artist.
