Bugus - Heaven For A G
Artist: Bugus
Producer: Russ Vitale
Album: Bombs Over Babylon
Label: Diemon, LLC.
Although the Tupac Shakur record of the same name was released well over a decade ago, Atlanta emcee Bugus is out to prove that there still is a Heaven For A G on his album Bombs Over Babylon’s latest single. The young rapper boldly borrows the title of Tupac’s heralded classic, delving into a two-minute long lyrical illustration, which comes across as a dedication to those the rapper has recently lost (his uncle in particular). The record is without a hook, but DIEMON producer Russ Vitale‘s sample-heavy, bass-driven production elevates Heaven For A G’s to stoic level. Heaven For A G is featured on Bugus’ Bombs Over Babylon album, which is available for free download on Diemon.com.

Without paying much attention to the fact the title of this song is shared by one of my fave Pac records of all-time, Bugus is on to something. I think he'd fit in great with the TDE guys. Nice ear for production, which always complements his roller coaster and honest flow.
