Absent form the Booth since dropping off the reader-approved Unstoppable this past May, Bueno makes his long-awaited return to our pages with poignant mixtape standoutRaindrops. Here, Telepath‘s elegiac sampling of The 21st Century’s Remember the Rain sets the mood as the Sacramento rhymesayer and fellow River City spitters Chuuwee and C-Plus (the latter of whom recently stepped into the Booth with the world premiere of mixtape cut Thank You) deliver verses dedicated to homies behind bars. I really liked the beat by Telepath and I thought everyone did a damn good job on the mic too. This has a nice laid back quality to it. Nice effortless hip-hop...Definitely worth a listen or two.
