It’s been a long winter for all of America, from Chicago to Atlanta and everywhere in between. Perhaps that’s why we’re starting to hear songs that reflect the residual effects of “Cuffin’ Season” that comes into play when cold weather hits. First, we had a smitten Lloyd Banks with I Don’t Deserve You and now Joe Budden is professing that he’s Tipsy for his dream girl in his latest stand alone single, available for download on iTunes. Budden is mum on the identity of this dream girl, but he describes her in great detail with vocal assists from Jay Townsend and Emanny. Not only is she a Fantasy Football fanatic on Sundays, she’s with him at the strip club tipping the dancers. No wonder the hook proclaims “Baby I’m tipsy, so let’s stay love drunk” - it sounds like Joe Budden has a winner in his corner. Whether Ms. Dreamy actually exists or not is irrelevant, Joe Budden is just enjoying being tipsy off those love endorphins. We’ll see how things fare when the weather warms up - perhaps Mr. Budden will change his tune once again.

Not your typical Budden record - that is for sure. In the hands of most emcees, this would be a highly forgettable and mediocre record. However, in Budden's hands, its automatically elevated to another level (not only because of what it sounds like, but because of his storytelling delivery as an emcee).

I have been hearing a lot of these songs lately. Maybe its the weather like Steph said. Its nothing to get crazy about but the track does have its relevance when you need that laid back romantic vibe.

Feels a little odd to hear Budden do a romantic version of Blame It on the Alcohol. Hmmmm......it obviously doesn't have the impact of his darker work, but it does show that Joe could craft some more radio friendly material if he wanted. I'll roll with three stars.

Man totally different vibe from Budden. Another thang i like about this guy is his capability to adapt to any record, and it shows on here. He still kept his great lyricism and story tellin ability and he adapted to the beat very well.

Played out topic for sure, but somehow, Budden seems to make this song his own. 3.5
