Like a Phoenix from the ashes, Bubba Sparxx has arisen yet again to deliver music to the people. Wait…say what? You heard me right ladies and gentlemen; Mr. New Booty is back in action, this time with the DJ Booth premiere of his single, There I Go Again. If there’s any lesson to be learned from this new work, it’s that Sparxxx in unwavering in his belief in himself, refusing to change his style or voice. Basement Beats does well enough to compliment Bubba’s southern slang, but the downtempo energy and rock vibes are a far cry from his most successful, head-nodding ventures. Longtime fans will assuredly find themselves enjoying Bubba’s positive lyrical energy, but it will remain to be seen in the coming weeks if There I Go Again will vault him back into the spotlight, or if it’ll send him Back in the Mud (good pun, yeah?). If you enjoyed this spark of musical energy, be sure to keep your ears to the ground for his forthcoming project, Miracle on Gamble Road, dropping November 23.

Personally, I miss the old Bubba. Nothing against this 2010 incarnation, but he seems to lack the flair and energy that made his work so enjoyable from jump street. Overall, this was a solid listen, though not highly memorable.

I am not mad at this sound he has chosen...His fans are more grown and he has evolved to creating timeless songs now....i can see them playing this record anywhere(but the hood)....and for a long time. Good work and get ready for them Ascap checks!...lol

Very different from "Ugly" & "Ms New Booty"...but like Dj Riley B was saying....I think this will hit radio in other areas Bubba hasnt explored yet......Very radio friendly track and the hook is pretty catchy. Def. needs a video a good radio push......hell i can see this being in a movie soon

Dj Booth Crew prolly spins what he wants in the hood clubs to be "in" he aint never really broke records. Bubba K.....Do not let these haters tell you what aint rockin and what is......if this gets to mainstream radio play.......they will all be aboard the coat riding train....this aint for the clubs...this is a hit period......a bigger hit than you had ever had due to the timelessness of the sound.......shit Dj BoothCrew Sesame Street made alot of $$$ homie....hahahah on that

I like his new style a lot! I heard more of upcoming material... and I can say it's a more grown and have soul in every track. Themes from deep inside. It's important for a lot of people (artist/listeners). Basement Beats (Nelly's producers) made a great work! Propz!

@gutta404 - I don't care if this thing wins a Grammy... This is still TRASH and I will never ride the Bubba train even if everyone in the world loved this song... Just listened to it again and its still TRASH either way you look at it!

It is nice to finally hear from Bubba. This is very different from his older work. But, this has a very nice flow. And it is a nice listen. Good production again from Basement Beats. In rotation for me.

man ive missed this man since deliverance which way way tight.. glad to see he is back. but i just dont think this is his best. production dont seem like its there. waiting to here more. but ill i can do is give a 1 for effort
