2012 is drawing ever nearer and, as we all know, an apocalypse without a thematically appropriate r&b soundtrack is no apocalypse at all. Fortunately, Anthony, Jared, Jacob, Papa and Grady of Brutha are back with a perfect addition to any music-lover’s “Romantic Evening in a Bomb Shelter” mix CD (right next to Justin Garner‘s There Will Still Be You and, if you’re into new wave, Modern English’s I’ll Stop the World). Penned by R. Kelly (and previously leaked to the ‘net with Kells’ vocals), new single One Day on This Earth finds the fraternal five-piece showcasing their smooth-as-ever vocal stylings over a sweeping synth instrumental by Mysto and Pizzi, serenading a woman they’d be more than happy to spend their final 24 hours with. If you’re as taken with this poignant cut as the R&B crooners/reality TV stars clearly are with the lady in question, you should keep it locked to the Booth; provided the end of the world doesn’t arrive ahead of schedule, we’ll be bringing you all the latest tunes and release details leading up to the release of Brutha’s forthcoming sophomore LP, Vacancy.

i thought they would never come back...so glad to hear them back, they shouldn't have left though...i like their new sound, but this is not enough to make a mark on the new industry...the beat is typical...not bad but not great...i expected more from them...this isn't a club song but maybe 92.3 will play it and hip hop and r&b stations...small rotation

Glad to see the guys getting a second shot with the Island. While I think Def Jam should have taken their debut project more seriously, maybe it was all for the best. They sound solid here and this has all the makings of a radio hit. Lets see where it takes them...

Brutha is amazing, but I'm just not into this song. Maybe it's because it sounds too familiar, but the production is excellent. Third verse brought it down a little too, but not bad on the whole.

Nice voices but no dominating personality/voice in the group to garner more appeal..Could have worked back in the Az Yet/BIIMen days but unfortunately male groups don't work anymore

Honestly, almost forgot about these guys. The intro monologue was a little overdramatic, but I have to give it to em, they delivered vocally. Not my personal favorite, but I could see this getting some serious radio play.

I was hoping for a little more upbeat song after the intro, but it's not bad. They sound smooth on the beat, but this is nothing out of the ordinary. I'll rotate it for a bit.

A bit disappointed since Kells wrote this and all of his songs that he's written are hot(Maxwell's Fortunate or Trey Songz's Grub On). I guess this was his expection, it just sounds boring. Brutha has great vocals but they were MIA for too long and they need a banger to come back and this sounds like a throw away.

Sounds a little too like every other R&B track, it followed every R&B-how-to-make-a-hit formula in the book. Maybe thats the problem with this track.
