Bruno Mars - Just the Way You Are (Remix)

Unfortunately, according to Reuters, singer/songwriter/rising star Bruno Mars was arrested for illegal drug possession in Las Vegas Sunday night. Lucky for y’all, I flew out to Vegas to investigate. The verdict? Police had confiscated the vinyl for Mars’ intoxicating hit single, Just the Way You Are. Just kidding. But seriously, when I heard Just The Way You Are’s official remix with Lupe Fiasco, I felt like these musicians made an already addictive record even more impossible to put down. This mid-tempo ballad, produced by The Smeezingtons, remains almost entirely intact for the remix, as do Bruno’s velvet smooth vocals, which bounce between seductive whispers to powerful croons about loving a significant other despite any flaws they may have. Oh, and as for Lupe Fiasco’s part in this, the Chicago native’s thought provoking rhymes make this heartfelt song feel more intimate, but is it even better than the original? If you like this, then make sure to purchase more musical narcotics on Mars’ upcoming, somewhat strangely titled album Doo-Wops and Hooligans, due out October 5.

If you liked the original you can't NOT like this remix, which is essentially the original untouched with two short Lupe verses.
I gave the aforementioned original version of this record a "4," but since then I realized that - while it isn't classic material - its outstanding and deserved a higher mark. Now is my time to make amends.

I immediately loved the original. Absolute classic imo. I haven't heard it much on the radio though. Hopefully adding Lupe will get it some more spins.

I don't think I heard the original but Bruno mars is NICE with it. I have never heard a bad song from him. I was just listening to Lupe (food and Liquor) over the weekend, so its good to hear him on another cool track. Lupe does his thing, but Bruno sounds great all the time. Good work here! BANGER STATUS!

I hate to go against the trend here, but I actually like the original better. Lupe's work feels awkwardly placed here - instead of a verse it's more like two snippets in the intro and middle. As much as I love Lupe, I don't really see what he's adding to an already incredible record.

I love the original and the (remix) as well. Kind of seems less of a remix and more of an (after-thought) addition to piece in the couple snips of Lupe, but either way I'm feeling it.

I liked the original better. I feel Lupe didn't have much mic time and he basically just adlibbed his 4,5 bars. Original was a banger, it didn't need a "remix"
