When Opa Locka native Brisco signed his joint deal with Poe Boy and Cash Money in ‘06, the rapper had plenty of industry backing. After seeing his debut album Street Medicine delayed numerous times, however, the SoFlo representative has had to prepare yet another elixir for the hood Fresh Out the pharmacy. While listeners will note similarities to numerous Southern rappers (Weezy, Plies, and Rich Boy come to my mind), the street or club-ready production (pick or choose) adds a freshness to the tried-and-true formula. Street Medicine is currently third on Cash Money‘s release schedule; it is set to drop after Weezy’s Carter III (June 3) and Glasses Malone‘s Beach Cruiser (July).
this is one sick beat, and i've been a big fan of brisco since his collabo with weezy in 'I'm in the Hood' (That song pumps me up everytime i listen to it) his lyrics are average but his voice gives off a certain swagga which goes well with this beat.. 4 star.. i also like the solo effort, no feature artists on the track
This right here is Definitely a CERTIFIED DJ BLAZE BANGER!!! I had the honor of hearing this track earlier in the week; and this dude really has a SICK flow unlike everyone else out there. This beat is CRAZY and the Chorus is HARD! Feelin this a lot!
Brisco did his thing on the record. His flow is unbelievable and his album should be great also. The beat is good also, not as good as the collabo with weezy though
First of all, why do some members need to swear like crazy in order to explain how much they like/dislike a song? Not neccessary, please cool it! Second, Brisco has some talent, but I am afraid it might never be heard by the listening nation... agree/disagree?
no comments on his rhymin skillz cause i can't get past how his flow sounds like a drunk man yellin after gettin throwin out of a club. i know it's good to be different, but he just sounds ignant, and there's a fine line between bein dif and ignant. Oh and the beat is pretty basic too.
you're IGNORANT for not spelling the word correct. aha but anyways, DJ Z my bad for cussing, but it's a self expression on the songs I like, so I can't help it sometimes...however I am sure that jmoney was your main target anyways lol.
Its alright. his flow kinda sucks. i agree with donjonjon he just sounds like hes yelling. the beats alright i guess. Im kinda getting sick of all these guys coming up from florida, im just waiting to see where the next hot city is, any one else with with???
@londons finest
wtf did u not read my entire comment? what other words were misspelled, like "skillz, bein, dif..." this is the internet people who type as if this is an english class are prudes
ok people come on now lets not have an argument over knowing how to use spell check ok, its about the music, and i agree with donjonjon, brisco's lyrical skills arent up to par, but the production makes up for it so i'll give it a 3
When I first heard Brisco and Flo Rida on Birthday I really couldn't tell 'em apart. But after In The Hood, Brisco showed that there's no comparison.
OK for a solo.
Brisco is def. a street rapper and I agree with DJ Z: majority of the people are never really going to see what he's capable of doing bc they expect something flashy.
u guys make me laugh, saying Flo-Rida and Brisco sounded the same on Birthday, these dudes sound nothing alike, both completely different styles man! and Donjonjon chill mate, I agree, as I prove I do the same, just found it funny how you contradicted yourself, purely. Just tryin to have a bubble, but it's whatever man, trying to get all defensive on a music page just chill man and have a laugh :)
Hey M. Burmy: You said the CARTER III is set to release June 3rd, but Nathan's review of Grand Closing says it's set to release May 13th. Which is it? (I'm hoping May 13th..)
i actually like this niggas flow!! i could tell its comin out the truth!! you can just feel it!! i love it when these niggas is comfortable with their own flow !!!
