Although he’s had to deal with a few setbacks and delays on the road to New Jack City: Part II, Bow Wow is currently on the rebound, with his latest single, Roc Da Mic, at #6 on our Rap Charts as of press-time. Currently being considered to work at radio as the second part of a dual single, smooth ballad You Can Get It All brings a relaxing vibe similar to that of Lil Wayne‘s Comfortable, complete with Bow rap-singing about how much he enjoys being around his woman. Accenting the mood is So So Def labelmate Johnta Austin on background vocals (falsetto is SO the key to a woman’s heart nowadays) and their boss Jermaine Dupri on the piano-percussion production, who come together to make You Can Get It All something the ladies will love. It's a fantastic sounding track with bow wow. I wish there was a little more from Johnta Austin, instead of dropping the 'wooo-hooo' in the false, as this is EXACTLY the type of track that he shines on. I definitely agree that bow wow was trying to emulate Nelly's singing runs, but I give him credit for being able to pull it off with decent results. The only thing that really sticks out for me, is the lack of polish in the production, I really feel it could be cleaned up a little bit. The beat is hot and works well, but they should've spent just a bit more time tightening it up.

This is a good song, Bow Wow seems to have recovered from some poor choices of singles (im looking directly at 'Marco Polo', what was the lad thinking releasing that?). This should be a big hit with the ladies.

THIS is classic Bow Wow, not at his BEST, but none-the-less classic drawin the ladies in, Bow Wow is more of a evolution thing to me, since me being more around his age, it's kind of like me listenin to him growin up while i was growin too, im lovin this production, this is what makes a joint (no not the illegal stuff), Bow Wow is still yet at the top after all these years. I was wondering about Johnta Austin. He's been missing. I see where ppl say it has a Nelly/Weezy flow style to it. I think Bow Wow is finding his own in this. He's been bringing the tracks for the ladies a lot lately. I think this song is cute - contentwise - a lil' young sounding for my personal tates, but its still cute.
Nice bridge w/ the Baby Baby Baby as Big Twon pointed out. Production is ok, but JD knows he can come hotter than this. Bow Wizzle does look fine as hell on this pic. I'm a pedifile - he's over 18 though, right? LOL |
