Ever since he announced that his acting career would soon take center stage, fans everywhere have speculated that Bow Wow‘s upcoming sixth solo album, H.I.M. (History In the Making), would be his very last. Whether or not reports are true, the 21-year old Ohio native has certainly stepped up his lyrical game, providing more mature content (Shine and Pole In My Basement). On his newest buzz cut, Money in the Way, Bow Weezy teams up with a better-known Weezy (of the ‘F Baby’ variety), and together they ignore the haters over a beat by Lil’ Ronnie. While the song’s female audience will be all over their heartthrobs’ collabo, parents worldwide might not be as thrilled with Money in the Way, as compared to past Bow material.
I'm BAAAACK!!! The first track Bow Wow and Lil Wayne did was SICK in my opinion...and it showed that Bow Wow can actually rap. His delivery on this beat is solid. The production/beat on here is really catchy along with the chorus. Lil Wayne arrives on the track HEAVY and does his thing! This is a Certified DJ BLAZE BANGER!!!
Bow Wow's flow has definitely improved, but it still doesn't come off sincere to me. This track is decent. Lil Ronnie's production is decent. I think the hook would've been better if they had of sampled Lil Wayne's voice from that "Stuntin Like My Daddy" track. Lil Wayne came a'ight
Can anyone tell me where Bow Wow's Rhyme came from? He stepped it up big time. The beat is alright. But the Chorus NEEDS TO GO. It is horrible. I'll throw it into the rotation though
Bow Wow has stepped it up.
Check this out:
---- am bout my green like i play for the celtics
---- and the watch face blue like a newyork giant
---- aint no one team in the league that can out ball me
and my favorite
---- my money tall like yoa ming yours short like j.d
yea bow wow flow is decent but this is nothin special, i never had a problem with the old bow wow, i actually like some of his old work that was geared toward the female audience, he needs to go back if he plans on continuing his music career........i not even goin to comment on lil wayne and his subpar verse at best
It's a solid chill too track, not something to throw on in the club unless you find a better beat to blend with it. Lil Bowwow does his thing though, mad respect for what he does on this one. Pole in my basement I think has the upper hand but this is still a solid comeback track...Lil Wayne and Bowwow on a track together talk about when Ego's collide...Solid track but nothing amazing.
MADDDddd!!
BOW WOW...WOO HOOOO
MONEY IN THE WAY..MmmMMMmmm
I LIKE IT. VERY NICE
ESPECIALLY LIL WAYNE...DAMNNN WHY YOU WANA BE SEXC FOR?
AND YES YOU FLY..
Beat is decent, but the chorus is wack. That kiddie sing songy hook is corny. Bow spits aight on this, but its nothing spectacular. Weezy delivers his typical careless metaphors, decent verse for Weezy. Average track. Gets about a 2.5.
Bow Wow grew too much over night. I agree with Boss Dogg, he did do better and should go back to his old thing, but this is what he wants to do. But Bow Wow needs to get off Wayne and stick to being himself.
Chorus...Umm No! Bow Wow: All I wanna know is who ghost wrote for him, must be the same person who writes for Wayne. This is not doing it for me, besides these too are not exactly some of my favorite people. 3/5~(**)~
This song is aight and Bow Wow can put some lyrics together, but its hard to take the "hard" act serious, beats alright and Wayne good as usual but this song aint nuthin special
Bow Wow has stepped up his flow and lyrics for sure...the only thing that hurts ths track though is the beat...its just not hott enough to make a track that everyone will want to hear..
This song is hot! Bow has stepped his game up, he should def not even think about retiring. He's finally getting some props. This is a huge banger, the chorus is the only thing i'm not sure on.
Welcome back Blaze!,
D@mn its been awhile!,
The chorus on here really needs to go, but Bow Wow is KILLING everything he gets on with his Rap game!, It just JUMPED out of nowhere! Definitely getting H.I.M.
MusicMan once AGAIN im not hatin on lil wayne i actually like his music but, he has so much out that i get sick of it, think about somethin that u really like now imagine doin it over and over til u got tired, but now think about doin somethin u like but doin not as often, the time u have to wait builds ur excited and make u enthusiatic about doing it.......basically what im sayin is if lil wayne would not make his self so available on songs and mixtapes i wouldnt mind listenin to him, but to have to listen to him on every song that comes out gets old quickly, i think he should take a LONG vacation after the release of the Carter 3
boss dogg: I hear what your saying. I'm just giving you a hard time cuz I always see you pickin on Weezy haha. I just see it differently...to use your analogy, if Lebron James really likes playin ball and he happens to be really good at it, why should he play less often just to build anticipation. I think if Weezy wants to spend all day n night in the studio, let him do it. That's the kind of work ethic that makes artists/athletes great.
yea i feel u musicman, i cant stress enough i how much i DON'T hate lil wayne...the lebron analogy is different because that a job and i understand u sayin lil wayne like to be in the studio (that's his job) i have no problem with that he just dont have to release EVERYTHING right away.....let me explain it this way if u have a love one and when u dont c that person in a long time when you c them u get really excited compared to if u see that person everyday all day.....that how i feel bout wayne if he were to go away 4 awhile then as time pass i would be wanting if to comeback and i would love to listen........let me give you a example, jadakiss a good rapper 2 me, i have been waiting to hear something from him bcuz his last album was so long ago(i not sayin wayne has to wait 4-5 yrs before he comeback though)
This song would be a lot better with a different chorus. The only times I have ever thought the chipmunk/high-voice worked were on Lonely by Akon and Apologize Remix with Lil Wayne and Bun B. I can barely stand to listen to this song because of the chorus, but the beat and lyrics are okay.
Man, this is the thing. I can't just look at a song and base it on the song alone. If I know prior history about an artist, all that comes into play, especially if the said artist is using a persona or gimmick to promote himself. Bow Wow is not a gangsta. He's just worked toward perfecting his craft like one. I reason I can not take him fully seriously or sincere is because we know he's been a star all his life. Now I'm not saying that makes you soft, but that to an extent means that you were a star and not just a hood cat on the come up who just got signed. Any goon stuff he may have did wasn't because he had to. It's real funny to me how people just embrace this though...yet you take a rapper or someone who comes in the game in the same sort of sense (a child star) who isn't talking that gangsta talk, and they still discredit him as a rapper because he was a child star (Nick Cannon). So it's real funny to me. I was a Lil Bow Wow Fan and was a "Bow Wow" fan as he continued to do his ladies man type stuff, cuz that's what he is. I liked him up until "Hold You Down", stopped during his "Fresh Azimiz" phase, and then became a fan once again from his new ladies man type material with Omarion on Face/Off, which was a heck of an album I must say. But new "Beezy Wow" if you want to call him, since he wants to be Wayne, is not sincere to me.
bow caughgt me off guard, weezy returned to his roots, weezy's lyrics kinda seem repeated on this but i still liek that he returned to his roots for this. i like this track maybe bow should stick to rappin if he's gonna come like this
When money and girls is all u knw thats all u can flow about anything else is fake. song aight but bow wow is getting played out he had to have wayne on it to get anybody to pay attention to the bull-shit.
WHAT?!?
people is mad crazy!
anything less than a 4 is wild... cuz the beat itself is a banger!
the beat is just jumpin'!!
i bang this joint with my 211 in hand!
... & Weezy murdered the beat... again!
peace.
