MURSEverything was a solid record, to be sure—in fact, it was chosen by Nathan S., as one of MURS for President‘s standout tracks—but it’s not exactly fierce-sounding.  If you thought the reflective, James Blunt-sampling cut needed a little more bite, Egon and Negatron of ferociously-named production duo Bossosaurus have got you covered.  Originally submitted to Loud.com‘s Everything Is Presidential remix contest but never used, this revamp rounds out today’s trifecta of world premieres (see also Matchstik‘s Give Back and Jarren Benton‘s take on Chonky Fire). Backing MURS’ rhymes with a banging mix of buzzsaw synth-bass, hard-hitting percussion, and pounding piano chords, the Oakland duo set a tone drastically different from that of the original, and, well, it totally works—the rapper’s raw emotion now comes off as righteous anger, and his formerly tearjerking final lines hit home with fist-pumping force. This record is slated for inclusion on a currently-untitled remix mixtape; keep it locked to the Booth for further details!

LOVED the original... and this just cranked that up five or six notches. These fellas got serious talent behind the boards. I am a Bossasaurus-bandwagon rider.

Lol @Z. I pretty much agree with everything you said. To expand on it though, this production is just plain fun to listen to!!! I'll ride that bandwagon with ya, Z. Very nice premiere right here. :)

I agree on the production note. It was real cool. Both rappers came pretty hard and I was feeling James Blunt on the hook. Rotation.

Damnnnn....Murs needs to holler at these dudes immediately. Dare I say this track was better than anything 9th Wonder or any producer on the last album threw down. Funky, hard ass hell and original. I'm about to listen again. Bottom line: Ill ass premiere.

Raw...this remix is way doper than the original. If this were on the last Murs album it would have really blown the f**k up. Shows you what exceptional production can do to a fresh lyricist. 5 stars NO DOUBT

It has a Doc Dre type feel to it. Like an old school beat on the chronic or something, outside of that I am not feeling it much. Blunt is out of place on this track.

This has got to be the first track with James Blunt on it that I have ever liked...and I like it a lot. I hadn't heard the original, but am curious if it could be any better than this dopeness..in rotation.
