With his sophomore album, Superbad, out now in stores and online, Lil Boosie‘s lying low in anticipation of his latest, um, project: a two-year (or less, with good behavior) jail sentence on drug and weapon possession charges. Bummer, right? On the bright side (for fans, anyways) the Baton Rouge emcee’s back on our front page with the official remix of his latest LP’s reader-acclaimed lead single, Better Believe It. In addition to touting his ethnically diverse fanbase and blowing off the cops in his brand new opening bars, Boosie goes all-out on the guest verse tip, replacing original collaborators Young Jeezy and Webbie with a whopping four fellow Southern artists. Memphis representative Yo Gotti is second to flow over Mouse‘s anthemic, synth-drenched boardwork, followed by Houston street veteran Trae. Rounding out this remix are a relentlessly flowed verse by UGK alum Bun B and some triumphant closing bars from Boosie’s Trill labelmate, Foxx. This revamp’s lineup is impressive, but the question remains: will Boosie be able to maintain his high profile while behind bars? Here’s hoping he has enough material in the can to pull it off.

It's a damn shame that successful artists have to be so stupid, but Boosie will do his time and return right where he left off. His popularity in the streets is undeniable and he better thank producers like Mouse for getting him to that level. You could interchange any number of southern guest artists, but the one constant is the banger production work.

Was never a fan of the original and not a big fan of the remix either. Bun B is definitely the highlight here despite the fact all of his guest verses say pretty much the same thing. In rotation.

I still cant get over how hot this beat is, and I really like the hook. Atleast Boosie dropped a different verse. "Some people say i got Tupac in me" - good line but, no offense Boosie, but i doubt that (i'm not saying thats a bad thing, tupac is a legend, its hard to match that).
The 4th guy was pretty bad. Which one was the 4th guy??? i feel like i'm hearing the exact same thing as in the original, but worse. Original was wayyyyyyyyy betterrrrr |

Decent offering from all involved and just like Original I can throw this in rotation mainly for beat and adding Bun B verse was a little improvement, but just like Original I might forget about it in a week.

This sounds like something Timbo would have done. Boosie did it, Bun did it, Trea did it, Gotti and Yo did it but Mouse put it down and made it easy for them to spit to. Very nice collabo.
