From Atlanta to Baltimore to the Virgin Islands and everywhere in between, the streets are a place where it takes an abundance of hard work and a bit of luck to succeed. Although rapper Bohagon feels he was Born 2 Lose, the Black Cartel/Georgia Durt representa’ is nonetheless determined to become a winner in this industry. Feeling a similar determination is singer Mario (released Go! after over a year of delays), and multi-talented duo Rock City (looking for the perfect radio single to push their debut), who both show willpower in their contributions. Along with a beat from producer The Nazty One, Born 2 Lose (Ohh) helps Bohagon flipt the script and instead live to win.
The hyped beat is too much for the rappers to handle. Their rhyme styles don't add any additional energy to the track. The hook is alright, Mario probably could have switched it up a bit.
Interesting mix right here. I don't know if this was the right selection for a collaboration featuring three different style. Don't get me wrong the beat is nice ... this fits more Rock city's style. Bohagon seems out of place. Mario is lost in the track, I couldn't even tell where he was on the track.
To clarify as to who was where...Bohagon did the 1st & 3rd verses, Rock City's Da Spokesman did the 2nd verse, and Mario & RC's Don't Talk Much alternated lines on the hook (with Da Spokesman doing his adlibs in the background). Just so nobody is lost.
M. Burmy, believe me, that clarification was really needed! Damn, this is so well mixed up one does get lost in it! The beat is outstanding, but I don’t think it outshined the artists at all, they live up to it! It has a bit of Akon’s “Never forget me” feel to it. Too bad for Bohagon that Rock City and Mario’s were the best parts though. And his flow made me remind of T.I. who would have made this a lot better then. I LOVE Rock City’s style (Da Spokesman’s verse has a great flow), and that’s what made this track a classic for me. Mario was remarkably smooth (if that was him on the “and this is what it sounds like…”) and I hope he keeps working close with Rock City (who wrote 2 songs for GO!).
I am feelin this track right here. This has a great beat and a feel-good aura about it. Bohagon sounds like someone from the T.I. camp. I am feeling the flow!
Bohagon has a solid album in him, I realllly hope this leads to that. As for the pieces around him, Mario is one of (if not the) most underrated R&B artists out now and Rock City is just going to kill it in the years to come. Solid all around.
Definitly sounds like someone from T.I.'s crew lol he sounds like a slightly altered version of T.I. Mario does well on the hook, beat is hot but nothing amazing. In rotation
WOW!! pretty gud. like em all on dis. Rock Cuty brung it once again...they havent for a long time..and im glad they did dis time! I luv dis beat and da chorus!...but its not a total 5...-i dunno y tho...
