There are only a few certainties in hip-hop: A Jay-Z album will be a hit, DJ Khaled will scream every chance he gets, and people will listen to any track featuring Nicki Minaj that contains the word “stilettos.” Regardless of how you feel about her rhyme skills, Nicki is the most talked about (and lusted after) woman in the game, a fact that former DTP crooner turned independent grinder Bobby V uses to full effect on his new single Stilettos & T-Shirt. Produced by Fat Boi, who delivers a synth-centric, riding and appropriately catchy beat, Bobby V uses Stilettos to craft an r&b/pop jam that builds on The-Dream’s sex-meets-radio blueprint. For his part Bobby delivers exactly the kind of entertaining performance the track requires, but I’ve got a feeling most of the comments are going to be about Nicki’s less-than-memorable verse. Then again, I’ve been wrong before. Stilettos & T-Shirt is the new single off Bobby’s upcoming album Fly on the Wall, set to drop “soon.” (What does “soon” mean? Your guess is as good as mine.)

nikki is becoming the female lil wayne of 2007 and 2008 she on every thing...i haven't heard a bad fat boi track...the beat is kicking this is straight for the club...omg i still hear wasted in the beat for some reason tho?!? this song is pretty cliche but its not a bad song ill put this is med. rotation

We've heard "Stilettos" and we've heard "T-Shirt," but that doesn't mean they needed to be combined here for a song. This just feels way to recycled.
I like Bobby vocally, and the production is undeniably catchy, but I cannot help but be a little disappointed.

Bobby delivers what's expected of him, so there's no real surprise there, but Nicki seriously just needs to take a break and quit doing features until her album drops. She's oversaturating herself to the point where I will have already gotten my fill of her by the time her highly-anticipated project is released. She and Bobby both have skills, though.

Damn, this was a smooth a** song. Production was great and Bobby shined again. Nicki was a nice compliment to the song. 3.5 and I'm roundin up.

I agree with Z, but this is way too average to put in rotation. The hook is catchy, but way to familiar to be good. The beat we have heard a million times and the guest verse is less than impressive. It is not bad, but too plain for me to listen to.

Other than fab boi's beat, the song was a waste. Bobby just sounds desperate for his DTP success he once had. Nicki, like Drake, needs to quit with the guest features and just work on her album.

Really liked this; smooth production, and Bobby killed it, but I feel like there was no need to include Nicki, it just distracts. On the other hand, I can't lie, any song with Nicki automatically gets crazy listens right now, a fact I'm sure Bobby V is well aware of.
In summary, musically not the best choice for Bobby to include Nicki, but from a promotion standpoint, well played.

The hook certainly leaves alot to be desired on the originality tip, but when your as talented as Valentino is i.e.- Ludacris "Sexting" everything you throw on a catchy beat is repeatable. Could have waited for the Minaj 16 on the "Remix".

it's aight...agreeing w/ Nathan, i feel like nicki's on here just cause she's poppin at the moment, and it sounds like she just threw some designer names together and made it rhyme, like every other rapper has done before.
i like bobby, his nasally, type singing kinda still bothers me but over all he's very talented. Not a bad track, but forgettable. |

I actually really like this song, I think it has a strong hook which is delivered surprisingly well by Bobby. Now onto the other part…… I started to like Nicki with her recent verses (my chick bad), but unfortunately this has put her a step back in my book.

i dont mind bobby v at all. although the hook is kinda weak, the track still works for me. his verses are solid and nicki didnt do anything to stuff this up even though im still quite a sceptical of her. nice track

for as creative as he's been in the past I think this is a disappointment. Production is nice and mellow but it somehow reminds me of Beep from his last album. The feel of the record shows great potential but the content isn't anything innovative its way too typical. Nicki Minaj doesn't help the track either. I hope he has some hidden gems cooked up wit Tim & Bob to send to DJ Z...this is somethin just to say hi and bye material nuttin to stir a buzz that a new album is on the way...

This is a great track to include on the album at least! If it gets radio play, it'll be more because of Nicki minaj being on the song than the actual song itself. It's kinda catchy, but I agree it's not that original. "Beep" was definitely way better. I disagree with peoples opinions of Nicki minaj. I thought she was a highlight of the song. She's had better bars than on this track, but her flow was amazing. I actually have had that "jetlag" line stuck in my head for the past couple of days!
